I would like to try the technique where you stick a used dryer sheet over your image then sprinkle on Dazzling Diamonds or similar.
The trouble is I don't have a dryer! Is there any other way to make a dryer sheet 'used'? Could I iron it between sheets of paper to remove the waxy coating?
I don't use dryer sheets, but I stopped off at the local public laundry place on a Sunday evening and there were tons of ladies using dryer sheets in the coin operated dryers. I got 5 sheets and played a good game of Spades with some ladies. Had a good time. :-)
Thank you for asking this question. I finally found some dryer sheets in the supermarket this week. In Australia we don't really need to use a dryer. Most houses have outdoor clotheslines. Dryers are in a lot of laundries but more for occasional use than regular use. I washed a load of towels this week and threw in two dryer sheets just so I could have some used ones! I was very pleased with the card I made but don't want to make a habit of using the dryer unnecessarily so these suggestions sound very good - except for hanging over the radiator. It is going to be 30c today!

Try and find a laundromat in Scotland- good luck! It's not like the US, lol. We had to search online, and found VERY few. However, I have to say the one outside of Fort William was a highlight of our trip- we were the last customers in the evening, and the lovely lady running the place drove us back to our hotel, rather than us having to catch the bus back. How nice is that? She called her husband and told him not to come at closing (to help her make a delivery of clean linens)- she had a couple of crazy Americans who would ride shotgun. I have to admit- the place she dropped off the laundry was spooky, I could certainly see why she wanted someone with her late at night!
