Downloaded Fonts....

How do you use a font once you have downloaded it?! I read on here where people have used these fonts but for the life of me I can't figure out HOW?!! Can someone tell me - please?! LOL! I have some projects that using some of the ones I've seen would be great for! Thank you in advance!

This is my method - there may be an easier one, but here goes.

Is your font file a ziploaded file? If so, open it up and unzip it. Then go to Control Panel on your computer and look for the folder called Fonts. Open that up. Drag the unzipped file into the font folder. Should self install there. Then you can open up your word processing program and find the font there listed with the others.
