Directions for Candles?
Does anyone have this saved?? I can't seem to get into the resource section and really wanted to make one of these for my boss.
You can post here or PM me and I will give you my email address. Thanks for any help! |
Stamp your image on tissue paper. Color it however you like. Cut out your image. Place the image on your candle. Wrap a piece of wax paper around your candle and image. Make sure your wax paper is long enough that you can have a handle to hold on to so you will not burn your fingers. While holding the wax paper snug against your candle, use your heat tool to heat the image until the tissue paper melts into the candle. Be careful not to heat too long or you will melt your candle. You will be able to tell when the tissue paper is melting because it will begin to look different. (Kind of like embossing powder looks different when it melts.) Slowly remove your wax paper and you are finished. :D

Thanks - I was looking for this too! I just bought the tissue paper and a candle from the dollar store, and wanted to try it out, but couldn't remember exactly how to do it.

I just tried this technique this week in preparation of my Stamp Club group on Friday. I have to say WOWEE!!!!!! It is incredible. I colored mine with pure color pencils - tried the metallic, but didn't like it as much.
also did a 3 " candle with Love from the Peace/Love set - can't for the life of me remember what it's called. Important note when doing words... make sure it is the right way facing out -not reverse or upside down I'd love to show you my love candle that is reverse of what it is supposed to be hahahahahaha anyway it's cool - and pretty easy just make sure the candle is the same color all the way through. some candles are colored only on the outside and when you start to melt it - it'll melt out white. not cute!! |
