Talking Cuttlebug folder/dies/storage

I did it...I bought a Cuttlebug! They were 50% off at Joann's for 4 days. It's my Christmas present (to myself) and I made a birthday card for my sister using the snowflake folder..beautiful! I just LOVE the look of dry embossing!!!! I've been buying some folders w/the 40% off coupons, knowing that I would eventually get "the bug". Now I'm looking at storage issues. I have them in a plastic, oblong case, with a snap lid. But, I know that once I get more folders and dies, I'll need a more organized storage system. I was thinking of using a 3 ring notebook with the top loading page protectors. Does anyone have any other ideas?

Also, thanks to all of the posts regarding the Cuttlebug...I read them all and they are the reason I bought the Bug! Thanks for enabling! :-)

IF you want to go with a super cheap idea... take one folder with you to your local dollar store and find a basket that they fit in!!

I have mine in a mini-crate plastic basket i got at a thrift shop, but I've seen similar ones at the dollar store too.
Enjoy!!!

The folders are so durable that I just store mine in a ziploc bag inside a shoe box. I want to be able to see what I have at a glance though (and I have a lot ...) so I've inventoried the folders using pictures from the cuttlebug website. I printed the inventories onto 4x6 paper and store inside a small photo album that I can slip in my purse when I go shopping.

I use a vinyl sheet protector that is split in half top to bottom. I store them in a 3-ring binder. There is a picture here (the MC-50) about halfway down:

I bought these years ago from a coin collector supply guy who had a booth at a local flea market. I once stored my stickers in them. They were just hanging around when I realized the embossing folders would fit perfectly. Works well for me.

I use a stacking storage container. A small one, you can get them at WM. Portable and easy to see in and see what I have.

The small dies and embossing folders fit in baseball card sleeves
9 to a sheet in a binder.
I had them all that way but recently switched to a white office organizer.

It has 2 sections for CD's where my A2 folders are and up top are 3 little cubbies - never knew what to DO with them years ago - and the dies/embossing folders are in there.
Right be hind that are 2 sections for paperwork but my extra plates are in there.
