I enjoy looking at the SCS gallery, and love the coloring talents of the members here! I see that some say "coloring with reinkers" or something like that. I tried to search it but didn't find anything. What does that involve? How do you do it? I think that might be for me.
I just put a couple of drops in the lid of my ink pad (if it's the same color otherwise use another small container). I add a couple of drops of water depending on how saturated I want my colors to be. Then I use my aqua painter (water-barrel brush) and paint away! Then you can add more color as it dries if you want some areas darker. You can also add another drop of reinker if you are needing it darker after you get your light areas filled. HTHs Kim
That's EXACTLY what I needed. I'm not great with "hard" techniques, and I was thinking there was NO way it could be that easy, but couldn't imagine what else it could be. I LOVE the concept, but now I need more reinkers!
I LOVE watercoloring with the reinkers. As others have pointed out, I like to squeeze a few drops into the lid of the ink pad. That way when I'm done, if there is ink left, it just goes onto the ink pad with no additional clean up or waste.

I found out about coloring with reinkers from my SU demo. at a workshop she had and I loved it. I place the color reinker on a lid and use my blender pen to color in the stamped image.
I use my blender pens to color with re inkers. You can also squash your ink pad into the lid to get a bit of color there. However, I have just ordered reinkers for the first time and have fallen in love with them!
