Default coloring on dominoes?

I've tried craft ink (didn't heat set). I've tried SU markers - didn't work, of course. I've tried Fabrico markers - didn't work well at all. I'm just trying to color in a little detail on my stamped (Staz-On) image. Any hints?

Default Dominoes

This is how I do dominoes with great success (thanks to Cheri Bartlett). I sponge with a layer of luminere, dry, stamp with Stazon, dry and color in with Fabrico markers. Add a little glitter while the marker is still wet. Then I seal with a light spray of sealant. I'm not sure why the Fabricos are not working for you. You could also try painting in with the Stazon ink.

Did you sand your dominos before you started? I had no trouble with the fabrico pens but I sanded the dominos first.

Default Dominoes

This is how I deal with dominoes. First I brush with the embossing buddy then I stamp the image with Stazon or any good pigment Ink. Let dry, you can also heat set with an embossing gun. Color in using pigment ink with a blender pen. Heat set again. I once used chalk and a blender pen and that worked too, surprisingly. Spray with a fixative. Goodluck and have fun.

Default coloring in dominos

There are tons of different ways. If you want to stick to all SU! products, the best tip I've heard is to paint with Lumiere first. Then even the pastels and blender pens work beautifully.

However, I usually do mine with Sharpies. I also like Marvy Metallic markers and a Pentouch White Pigment Pen. I've posted a scan of some of my dominos. The ones done in bright blue were covered with Stazon Ultramarine, then I stamped using Judikins Permanent ink remover. It dissolved the Stazon where I stamped. I just dabbed the ink remover on the stamp using the dauber on the bottle. After I stamped, I enhanced the snowflake image with the white pen mentioned above.

I coated all these with Crystal Effects to seal, but it's a messy, fiddly process. I'll probably switch to Krylon sealer next time or try coating with clear EP instead.

Another thing you can try is place the dominoes in bleach over night. Wash clean and dry completely before stamping.
