Default Colored Staples?

O.K. What's the deal! I bought colored staples and put the red ones in a new little stapler, then stapled through my red ribbon on my card. Well they come out plain! So- as they are pressed down thru the stapler it strips the color off? What's that? The box of staples says- use in any regular stapler. Anyone out there have any luck with colored staples?

Default color staples

I haven't had this happen to mine. Did you know that you can color the silver staples with StazOn? Just push a block of the staples down into the StazOn ink ( you don't have to do the sides) then let dry. This takes awhile to dry, or you can speed up the process with your heat gun.

Another option to coloring the staples that I've had great results with is using Adirondack Alcohol Inks. They dry quickly and nicely on metals. They come in 24 different colors.
