Can not wait to get the tuttorial. I have so much ribbon to use.
Love your gallery 4-Hounds!!!
Unless I'm mistaken, Pam hasn't yet posted her ribbon bow turorial. We're all still waiting. I said I would try it, but have not done it yet. Susie did a great job, GO SUSIE!!
Just checking in (bumping). TMCCORM106 you did a wonderful job. I'm still working off Pam's old tutorial that I had from months ago...I can't get my ribbon to look like yours. It's raining here in Massachusetts...I think I'm going to pull out my directions again...and keep working on it...this time, taking my time.
Pam....I'm so patiently waiting...I can't wait to see your wonderful work. My DH now is asking if you have posted yet. I keep talking about wanting your new instructions. THANKS PAM.

I have had a few emails about the one I made.. I think I used about 20-25 ribbons.. I think the key is in the seperating of the ribbons.. I have enclosed a picture that may help. I stacked mine up and tied them together very tightly.. I took the top one in my left had and the next in my right and pulled them away from each other until the slide off the stack (to the sides). Continue this until you have done this to all of the ribbons. Trim the ribbons ater this..
tmccorn106: Your blosso bow is just gorgeous and I love the card! Do you have step by step instructions for making the bow? If I missed that somewhere I'm sorry. If not, I'd love to see them!
Thanks for sharing!

I am a newbie, as in I just joined your site and I've never made a card or used stamps. I do other types of crafts such as digital scrapbooking, french hand sewing, smocking, and other crafts. I joined because I really want to learn the craft and because I really want to learn how to make a Blossom Bow. I dont know Susie, but it made me mad that people have so much time on their hand that they have to try and crush someone's spirit, so I had to add my two cents worth! I'm looking around my home and I see many items that go by different product names. For example jeans, they were originally made by Levi. Now you get jeans by Abercrombie & Fitch, Gap, Buckles, Forever 21, etc. When my daughter was looking for jeans she would ask, " do you know were my faded "Abercrombie" jeans are? Abercrombie didn't invent them but as anybody knows those jeans were not the same as Levi jeans. The same with the pom poms. The ones I know of are 100 for a $1 @ the dollar store and they are made of yarn. Susie's as we know, are made of multiple type ribbons of multiple colors, not the same thing. The other pom poms are made by looping several loops of yarn, tying it in the middle and then cutting the loops, not the same thing. I think I've made my point.
I want the instructions for Susie's Blooms and can't wait to see them!
These are actually done by Pam Bassett, not me.. People have been struggling with them and I just wanted to add a little help while we all waited for Pam's new tutorial!!!! But thanks!!
Thanks Susie for the correction. So sorry, I goofed!!! I told you I'm a newbie, Pam made the blossoms. I know all of you knew that, it's just dumb, me, that gave credit to the wrong person. I want the instructions for Pam's Blooms and can't wait to see them. So, soooo sorry. I tried to edit the original post but I am not able to.

Pam - we are so excited and thankful that you will be sharing the new tutorial with us soon. Thank you so much for being willing to share it with us after all you went through with those heartless, ignorant people. We, your fans, love you and don't give a hoot what those people think. They are just jealous that you are so talented and creative. Please try to forget about those who are so ignorant. Keep your chin up and continue to do what you love to do (and do so incredibly well)....create & share your beautiful cards with us!! You are the ribbon blossom QUEEN and we bow down to you!!! We are waiting patiently for the new tutorial.....(or trying to be patient, anyway)!!

I really love those Blossoms. I saw them first on Pam's Blog several weeks ago, and have been waiting patiently for the tutorial ever since. I'll keep checking back until it's posted.
I've been watching this thread for some time. I can hardly wait for the tutorial. Thank you Pam for your hard work and I look forward to trying one of these babies!
I too have been waiting for Pam to re-post the instructions. I did receive a copy of the old instructions from a friend on the board. I had trouble tying the ribbon tight enough.
I then tried to use a small piece of wire and twisted it several times, it seems to hold more tightly then tying the ribbon. It is just a useful tip I found by trial and error. I still can't get the blossom to be as full as some of the photos, but I am getting closer!

Hi Maureen.
Is there any way that you could type up these instructions for us into a Word doc and post the Word doc in this thread? I am sorry to ask you for the extra work, but we all would like to try these - I have no idea even where/how to start one - never saw the original tutorial - just pictures of these fantastic creations! Pam may never get the tutorial back up for reasons of her own.

I have thought about making two or three clusters of ribbon and then slightly offsetting the centers when stacking them in order to accommodate the bulk from the wires or knots... but then am held back from actually trying it because I don't know what I would use to adhere them so that they don't come apart. I guess it's back to square one for me. lol
I would think any strong glue would hold two or three smaller blossoms together. I've been wrong before, but I'd give one or two of the stronger glues a try, like crazy glue or locktight or something like that.
The best wire to use with sheer ribbon is the very thin and flexible titanium wire. It can be found at Michael's or Hobby Lobby. If you use a local florist, they will usually sell you a few of the wires. It is very flexible, and you can tie it with a slip knot. It holds and is not visible.
In the meantime, I'm waiting for Pam to tell us how to do it like she makes her bows look SO PRETTY!
