Aqua Painter
I am wondering if anyone can tell me how the aqua painter differs from the blender pens? How do you go about obtaining your color for your aqua painter? I see several of the gallery cards using it but not sure how it works or if it is something I would like to have. Please advise. Thanks gals!

There are several threads about the painters - you can do a search to find them. You fill them with water and dip the tips in either ink smushed in the lid of a pad or a drop of ink refill. I don't know if you can dip them in chalk like you can with the blender pens. Unfortunately I don't have mine yet, hopefully they will ship next week. HTH

it's a hollow pen you can fill w/ water, and you use it like a watercolor paint brush. it's not really like the blender pen at all.

At convention, it was explained (I think) that blender pens have some sort of chemical inside them, and the aqua pens use water (unless you decide to fill them with bleach or Future floor polish, of course). They did say that you cannot use the aqua painters with the pastels - the one real advantage of a blender pen. Basically, you fill the pen with water, squeeze until a little water comes out of the brush, then dip it in ink squeezed from a ink pad or a drop from a reinker or into a marker squiggle (don't you just love my grasp of all the high-tech jargon?) on a plastic surface (such as a stamp box). After that first little squeeze, don't do it anymore or too much water will come out. They're really fun to use!

I use my Aqua painter for my Twinkling H2O's. But you have to be careful not to use too much water in the tube, because it can get rather messy. The Blender pens have a glycerine combo in them, versus the plain water. Hope that helps.

No one answered me in another thread, but do you have to worry about the floor polish hardening up the tip of the aqua painter? Any tips on the floor polish use? I got another just for this purpose, but I want to make sure I know what I'm doing...ok...at least half-way know <g>

Floor polish?
Ok...where have I been? Why would I put floor polish in my aqua painter? I hadn't heard about this before now!! :?

I think you dip the aqua painter in Pearl Ex after you fill the pen with liquid floor wax. I can't remember exactly what this is supposed to do -- you can search the forums for "aqua painter" and it should come up because I know this has been discussed in other threads.

Aqua Painter
"Thank You" to everyone who responded to my question regarding the aqua painter. I emailed my upline asking for her help on this but have not heard back from her as of yet so I appreciate all of your comments. I look forward to getting my aqua painter Wednesday to play around with it. Thanks again and happy stamping everyone!
