Question Adhesive

Not sure if this is the right forum for this question or not, so I'll ask it anyway.

What type of adhesive do you use when attaching CS to chipboard and journals? I've used Zip Dry, but it has some issues and is a little spendy for how far it goes. I tried another glue that I have in one of my adhesive drawers and it made the CS buckle and generally look awful. I really like the way that the zip dry turns out when it's done, but I've had more than one bottle that was way too thick to use when I first opened it, and, if I don't use it all at one time, the remainder gets too thick also.

I made some really cute coaster calendars last winter and I want to get started on them early this year as my co-workers are already asking me about them.

Thanks for your help!

I usually use Sobo glue for large jobs. I put a super fine tip on the glue bottle and that stuff goes forever and sticks really well. I just use a very thin line about 1/8" from the edge of my paper. It dries quickly and I haven't had any problems with it warping paper.

i love zip dry - use it all the time and recommend it in all my classes...

it allows some wiggle room when you first apply the paper, but dries strong - and FLAT! clean up of excess is a breeze - it just rubs off with your finger or a rubber eraser.

price? i find it CHEAP compared to tape runners and other adhesives - it only takes a thin line around the edges and maybe a dot at the center to adhere whatever.

it is a little viscous - thick - was the hole you clipped at the top of the bottle big enough? the bottle may have been old and had thickened - you could return it, or use paint thinner to thin it back down.

storage --- keep the white flat cap that comes on the bottle. when you are done, let the bottle drain for 5 minutes or so - all the glue will go back in the bottle - remove the applicator cap and store with the flat cap to avoid thickening.

to avoid the glue clogging in the nozzle, keep the pointy cap on in between uses while you are working on your project.
