We did this in a yahoo group I'm in...

Here is what you need:

-Black permanent ink pad (Stazon, Memories, Ancient Page, Brilliance, SU Craft pads will work the basic black isn't really black enough)
-2-3 colors of reinkers
-Gold or any metallic reinker (if desired) or Pearl Ex powder!
-Clear glue (best to use a glue that is clear to begin with, crystal effects works well)
-Plain white tissue (gift wrap tissue)
-Acetate sheets (transparencies)

Instructions:

Stamp image on front of Acetate. Allow to dry. When completely dry, turn sheet over and place a nickle size amount of clear glue in center of image. Place 1-2 drops of each different colored reinkers on glue, add 1-2 drops of metallic, if desired. Start spreading glue and reinkers around the back of plastic until image is completely covered. Be careful and try not to mix the colors or they will get muddy looking. I try to keep the colors separate with just a little overlap. While still wet, take a piece of tissue paper a little larger than stamp image, crumple it and smooth back out. Place tissue over wet glue/reinker mixture and press until tissue is saturated. Allow to dry, cut out and mount to cardstock.

Here are some examples:

Hope that helps!!

Mary Z, I just love the 2nd technique, and can't wait to try it!

Here's how I make mine:

Lay acetate on scrap paper. Drizzle CE or Diamond Glaze on it. (Doesn't take much.) Spread with finger to evenly to cover acetate. Drop a few drops of 2-3 different colors of reinkers in different locations on the acetate and slightly swirl with finger. Don't over mix. (OK if it is still clear in places at this point.) Optional at this time to sprinkle mica powder or glitter over this. Crumple and open thin white tissue paper and lay over this. Easier to start from center out and gently pat flat with hand ensuring that all paper is touching acetate. OK if some of the glue runs over the edge (you can trim). Allow to dry completely (preferably overnight).

It is ready for trimming and stamping! I like using this method over the floor wax. I end up with too much floor wax and a mess when I try the other.

A tip: If you notice the coloring slightly changing when you lay it on lighter or darker cardstock backgrounds, you can color the back of the acetate panel with a metallic marker to ensure consistent color no matter what cardstock color you use. I have done that with these samples.

Small postage stamps are by Stampin'Up 2000 (set name I can't remember) and the large on is by Toybox. I used Pearl Ex gold and a red, blue and yellow re-inker. I colored the back with a gold metallic pen.

You guys....you know we have a tutorial for that in the resource section, right?

Check here:

It's free...and hopefully easy to understand.

Hugs and smiles.

Scribble (different colors if you like) markers onto a piece of acetate. Spray with water.
Lay your card face down onto the acetate or acetate on to cardstock. Your choice.
Rub over it.
Take off. The ink of the markers will have transfered to your card.

Done
