TLC906 - Camfouflage Background- 07/04/2022
Happy Independence day to all of you celebrating today!
I did have a different challenge in mind, but in view of the fact that some of you may have family stuff to do, I went for a quick and easy option.
I remember a camo challenge from HYCCT where I used irregular offcuts from rubber stamps to created a background, and I remember one from Lyn as a TLC where we were to take a small image stamp and repeatedly stamp it for a background - but today I am specifically directing you to the Camouflage Background Tutorial here: https://www.splitcoaststampers.com/r...agebackground/
It's really wrinkled (as opposed to wrinkle free) distress repeated several times, a lighter and darker shade of two different colours and a lot of wrinkling and crinkling. The first time I remember trying wrinkled distress was for a little safari bag that Markie's Mom shared on her blog, and I made one for DH which still sits on one of our shelves (Safari Bag. by Cook22 at Splitcoaststampers).
Kelly's tutorial example is real army colours and quite a masculine look. In my sample I switched the browns and greens for greens and blues and went floral. So long as your colours have some contrast, feel free to use two shades of any two colours you like. You could also start with coloured cardstock in a pale shade, if you wanted. I flattened mine out simply by putting it through the Big Shot.
Remember to add your card to the Tutorial Spotlight gallery by choosing Technique Spotlight from the first dropdown menu, and Camouflage Background from the second menu.

Remember to use the keyword TLC906 when you are uploading. It's helpful if you come back and leave a link on this thread, especially in case you made a typo and people may not find your card.
If you're not sure how to link your card on the thread here, here's how:
1. Open 2 windows or tabs: one window for your card and one for this thread.
2. In this thread, click on reply and type anything you want to show before the link.
3. Go to your card window. Highlight the address for your card. (It says www. splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/showphoto..... and so on)
4. Click EDIT. Click COPY
5. Go back to this thread. Click PASTE.

Great Challenge, Sabrina! It was fun to make Camouflage a different way. I liked how quick it was.
