As you know I like to try new experiences, sometimes it works, and sometimes it doesn't...with this one I think you jut can't fail...
Today we're going to paint with aluminium foil, I've got a PDF in the thumbnails to show you all the steps but it's not difficult just a bit messy, I hope you like to get dirty fingers, I do.
Step one: you chose your acrylic paint, it depends of course what you want to create, for a garden you use green, yellow red and so on, for a night scene more dark colors are needed.
Step two: you add drops of paint on your card or make lines, if you want to make a moon think about masking it now!!
Step three: with a paintbrush spread the paint and make your aluminium foil balls
Step four: now you start tapping the paint with the ball, you can use different items to draw in the paint, Q'tips, tooth pick, comb, credit card and so on
Step five, finish your card with stamps, die cuts or other embellishments
Have Fun
Remember to use the keyword TLC848 when you are uploading. It's helpful if you come back and leave a link on this thread, especially in case you made a typo and people may not find your card.
If you're not sure how to link your card on the thread here, here's how:
1. Open 2 windows or tabs: one window for your card and one for this thread. 2. In this thread, click on reply and type anything you want to show before the link. 3. Go to your card window. Highlight the address for your card. (It says www. splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/showphoto..... and so on) 4. Click EDIT. Click COPY 5. Go back to this thread. Click PASTE.
Yes Sabrina is right, you need a layer of paint, if you watch my pictures you see the amount of paint I've used, and you can add more if you see it's drying too quickly, I've made yesterday with my grand daughter and used only printer paper to make mine, I'll finish it this afternoon and will show you
So get dirty and have fun!!
I will have two examples shortly. Yes it was messy, although I think I used too much paint on the first one. Second one was less messy. At first, I thought 'I'm not too sure about this', but I think this could be a technique I will use again. There are a few videos on YouTube, I searched acrylic painting with foil. I was grateful my pieces dried pretty well. We had a cold front go through, dropped 20 degrees, still humid but not so muggy. I'm not happy about so much humidity so early.

the depth of texture these have is really cool
( I own like 5 or 6 nearly the same shades of pale green paints with off white and black) so I will have to think about this to see what I could come up with.
