Each challenge I love to see how Beverly will take the challenge and turn it into an ATC so this week, I thought it would be fun for all of us to do an ATC BUT with a unusual canvas...
I was recycling a while back and I looked at my toilet paper roll and thought "I wonder if this is the right dimensions for an ATC." (Yes, you know you are a crafter when you check out all the paper items in your house for potential.) I grabbed it out of the recycling, and flattened it using my bone folder to get it as flat as possible and it was 2.5" wide. Yep - it is perfect! It was a little longer than 3.5" so I trimmed it to 3.5" and it was ready for whatever I decided to do.
For mine, I painted both sides with gesso (you could use any kind of paint) and then using a thin score tape, I closed one end - this is the bottom. I then did normal ATC things...I added some texture and a doodle border and then my image and sentiment. For fun, I punched out a rainbow of hearts to add to the inside - you could add anything as a secret treasure piece of your ATC
I punched a hole at the top and tied the top "closed" with the simple bow.
This was so much fun - now it is your turn! Recycle that toilet paper roll and create a pocketed ATC with it.
I can't wait to see your projects! Have fun!!
Lyn
