TLC837 ~ Embossing Folder is the Star!! ~ 03/08/2021
Welcome to the second Monday of the month! We will revisit Natasha Foote, who experiments with techniques that we can all do. She is a very frugal stamper and likes to get a lot of bang for her New Zealand buck. Here is her video:
Making an embossing folder the main feature
Playing with embossing folders is not new and neither is what she does with the media she uses. The goal is to use those embossing folders in a different way. We've all used them for backgrounds that are very much 'in the background' or we've brought them forward with different products that highlight their designs. Today, go another step forward, making that embossing folder the highlight of your card. Cut around a design, choose specific parts of the folder that will make a statement. I loved the folder she used so much, I ordered it (not arrived yet). Can't wait to see what you come up with! Go wild! Go crazy! Have fun! Use more than one folder, if you like.
Remember to use the keyword TLC837 when you are uploading. It's helpful if you come back and leave a link on this thread, especially in case you made a typo and people may not find your card.
If you're not sure how to link your card on the thread here, here's how:
1. Open 2 windows or tabs: one window for your card and one for this thread.
2. In this thread, click on reply and type anything you want to show before the link.
3. Go to your card window. Highlight the address for your card. (It says www. splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/showphoto..... and so on)
4. Click EDIT. Click COPY
5. Go back to this thread. Click PASTE.

I loved to play with this technique and loved to watch the video, I've even watched some more, and I've made 3 cards will link only one here the others are in the gallery Only EF and Ink
I've got 2 cards to share. The first one was my "lesson learned" about the type of ink pad might work best for me.
Card #1 = Thanks
Card #2 = Birthday Wishes
I do believe I will try this again!

This was a fun technique. I think I'd like to try navy next time. I sure need more practice, but I was encouraged. Here's my card.
