TLC740 ~ Merging Backgrounds~ {04/29/2019}

Hello and Welcome to another TLC Challenge.

I am happy to be hosting this week and I hope you will give this technique a try.

I'm calling it

TLC740; Merging Backgrounds



I like to try and think of techniques and ways we can use what we already have on hand and are simple enough that everyone will be able to play along.

Basically, we are using 2 different large background stamps; one stamped to the left and one stamped to the right to create the look.

Here are the simple steps:
1. Choose 2 large background stamps that work together.
2. Mask one side of your card front and stamp your first background.
3. Remove the mask and place it over the area you just stamped. Ink up the second
background and stamp it directly beside the first.
4. Finish off your card by adding some stamping or a die-cut to the middle merged area or just leave it as is.

I hope you have fun with this and get a chance to use some of your background stamps that often stay sitting on the shelf.

I don't own many background stamps so my choice was ULTRA limited and I didn't want to "cheat" by grabbing an embossing folder which was my first instinct . . . . .

Here's my attempt. I admit that I added an extra stamp because there seemed to be too big a dichotomy between my two sides, and I don't have time this week to try again. But I will...thanks for the fun idea, Karen.
