Happy February my friends! It is the third Monday of the month so it is my turn to challenge you with a technique.
I want you to use kraft paper (or other color if you want - not white!) and I want you to color an image with alcohol markers or colored pencils (not just stamping with colored ink pads)
I have been playing with Copics on kraft and really like the subtle look it gives you. Layer it for brightness but realize it will not be as bright as on white. If you want bright, use colored pencils. You can either layer them for brightness, or lay down a white layer to build on. Either way, I think you will enjoy the results.
Have fun and I can't wait to see your projects!
Here are the Details for today's challenge: Keyword:TLC730
Bummer! I should have kept the snowman I coloured on kraft while I was sick, but I majored in turning all my sickbed colouring into finished cards on my day off last week. I'll try to make something new during the week but I have a busy schedule and am still slowly recovering from the flu :-(.
Last summer I did gourds on Kraft with Copics for a Thanksgiving card and liked the mellower results. Today I thought I would try the colored pencils. Thanks for the challenge.
Super challenge Lyn. I have recently started coloring on Kraft and really love the look of coloring on it. I want to try copics but for now I am still enjoying using colored pencil on Kraft.
OK Guys - who is going to Copic up their kraft It is fun and I promise you it is a bit quicker than those layers of colored pencil haha! You guys are doing great and the cards are so fun!!

I'd be all for quick this week, but I don't really have enough Sharpies for much colouring :-(.
Great challenge today and it gave me a chance to try out a new stamp set which I purchased for making cards for my DH's sister and her husband who love horses ~ Coloring on kraft really looks great with the images, I think.
I finally had a chance to get crafty today. I pulled out a Stampin Up stamp from 2001 and colored it with Polychromos on Crumb Cake card stock. What a fun challenge.

What a fun technique. I have wanted to try this for a long time. Finally decided to sit down and make a card for the challenge. You can see my card HERE.
I am playing my "Challenge Catch-up" cardmaking and catching up on a few Easter cards that I forgot to post! This Easter card was for my youngest son and his family, which includes my oldest granddaughter, who is five.
I colored my image stamped on kraft with colored pencils, Copic Markers and white gel pen.
