Hello friends!
I am always looking for fun techniques to add to my cards. There are so many ways to created interesting backgrounds using other mediums. Today I am using cardboard (toilet paper tube) and paint!
You may have done this with your kids to paint fireworks in the summer, or flowers in the spring. I am using this for bursts of love in February!
While I followed the shape and cuts of the video (but had a different end result), you are welcome to use any cardboard and cuts as your "stamp." You don't need to follow the "dandelion" pattern. Show us your imaginative ideas!
Really fun and creative technique. Thanks for introducing it to us, Judy. I used watered down reinkers rather than acrylic paints for a softer bg look.
Used my spiky-cut cardboard cup for my mask for my inking- went with ink, spray and smash- adding some additional shine with modge podge. Served as a background for my forest trio of critters- I included an owl for today's CAS challenge- adding some fussy cut spiky grass to mimic my spiky inked background. Added simple embellishments and a HB sentiment- to go to my DS for his 25th birthday. Here's Forest HB

Fun challenge, Judy! I cut my cardboard tube and rolled it a little smaller so my "dandelion-esque" painting wouldn't be so big. Here's my Bird Day. Thanks so much for looking.
Didn't have paint, so I used ink. Fun challenge. Here's my card.

Great technique and challenge. I did this with my grandchildren a couple of months ago...we made flowers using loo rolls....they loved it. We also tried cardboard paper rolls but that didn't come out so well. Thanks again for the challenge and some beautiful cards. Happy day

What fun technique and the blue dandelions were pretty but WOW, LOVED the 2nd flower with the blues and greens! Thinking I will try this technique as a fireworks display! Thank you for sharing!
