I'd thought I'd go for a super-simple challenge this week. I was looking through some notes I had jotted down after "borrowing" an e-book a couple of years ago; I made a few notes before I had to return it, and I think this is one that most people should be able to do.
Simply
punch (or die-cut) a decorative border, and then
pleat it and use it on your card.
You can use narrow tape to hold the pleats together if you like, I chose to stitch mine.
If you need a longer strip of pleated border - you can punch/cut two shorter ones, and then just overlap them slightly so that the join is hidden under a pleat!
Here's a link to our
TLC526 Punch and Pleat gallery.
Here's my card:
Punch and Pleat Birthday.
We do have a gallery for paper pleating - and an associated tutorial.
If you'd like to check out the tutorial it's
HERE, but remember for
THIS particular challenge, you must use a
die-cut or punched border strip for pleating.
:arrow: To upload to the Paper Pleating gallery, choose
->
Technique Spotlight from the first drop-down menu
->
Paper Pleating from the second drop-down menu.
Remember to use the keyword
TLC526 when you are uploading. It's helpful (to the hostesses for sure!) if you come back and leave a link on this thread ;-).
If you're not sure how to link your card on the thread here, here's how:
1. Open 2 windows or tabs: one window for your card and one for this thread.
2. In this thread, click on reply and type anything you want to show before the link.
3. Go to your card window. Highlight the address for your card. (It says www. splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/showphoto..... and so on)
4. Click EDIT. Click COPY
5. Go back to this thread. Click PASTE.
