Welcome to the first 2013 Technique Challenge! It was a year ago that I stepped out of my comfort zone and joined the TLC Challenge Hostess team. I have loved every minute! Thank you for playing along in 2012!
I am still recovering from the holidays - how about you? I have to find some time to take down my decorations this week. I hope that you will find time to play in this week's Technique Challenge, because it is a FUN one, and one that everyone can play in!
This week we are taking a look back at the "The Best of 2012."Choose one of the TLC Challenges (#358-410) from 2012 and make a project using that week's technique!
Please omit TLC359 and TLC389 from your choices, as those referred back to previous challenges that originated in other years.
Here is the link to the TLC MASTER LIST. Please make sure you are choosing one dated 2012~! Scroll down to find posts #9, 10, and 11.
Be sure to list which 2012 Technique Challenge you chose in your description!
Hi. This sounds like a lot of fun. Is there a dateline by which a project needs to be completed?
For most of the on-site challenge, and that covers all the ongoing daily ones, there's no completion date! There are always people starting at the beginning of some challenges and working their way through . Very satisfying on a personal level.
But you will get more comments if you upload within a day or two of the challenge being posted, if that matters to you.
thank you for the neat idea of this challenge. We just got all our Christmas decorations put away yesterday so today is relax day and of course...yah a card time...:0).
I needed a ty card for my Sister and brother in law and here it is... Thank You

Lovely idea, Judy. I choseTLC399....a technique that has become one of my favorites for easy and fast cards. I also combined it with the CAS for today.
What a great idea, Judy....I think I'll look at my Christmas tree one more day so I can do a little stamping!!! Has it really been a year??? I guess we need to celebrate your anniversary...woot!!!!!

This looks like a fun challenge, Judy! Can't wait to play! Don't worry, you're not the only one who hasn't yet taken the Christmas decorations down. I keep saying "tomorrow!" And I really mean it.

Judy- thanks for giving us choices for techniques, I am a bit low on supplies! I used Graphic 45 A Place In Time dp for my vintage image, paired with Sizzix's Snowman #7 die- paper pieced the cap, scarf, and mittens. Added a blingy brad/tie combo, and a twine/button combo (TLC360- Twine it Up). Finished with a green gem to accentuate the frame shapes. Here's Best Winter Wishes

I chose TLC398 Add a Little Dimension. The title of my post is Magnolia Birthday. I'm still new at posting so I hope I did it correctly. I want to add a link, but can't remember how. LOL!

Thanks for all the work you do to keep the challenges going. I used the Background Technique challenge TLC389 to make a difficult card for my mom: For My Mom Inside Grace
Judy, you've inspired me with your "wide-open" challenge today. I needed to get on the masculine b'day cards for January and you gave me the impetus. Thanks! Another card done.
I love the TLC challenges as I learn some great new techniques. My favourite of the ones I learned last year was Wrinkle Free Distress so that's the one I chose for today's challenge:
Thanks for the great challenge! My goal this year is to try and participate in more of them! Love this one since I went back to read all the fun I've missed!
So here is my card. Autumn Collage Subtle Butterflies
Also- time for a new camera! This 8 year old one just isn't cutting it.
Here is my Thanks A latte for the Layered Scallops TLC. I plan on doing another one for another challenge. I didn't get to do many of them last year!
Thank you!
Sharon
Thanks for the fun challenge, Judy! I finally got to try a tech I missed the first time around. Here's my Birthday Belleek . Thanks so much for looking!
Well that was a fun challenge Judy! I didn't play a lot last year, so had fun going back through the list of challenges and used the TWINE challenge! Combined it with this weeks CAS challenge to do something with postage. So here's my brown paper package tied up in string - TFL!
O.k. slap my hand but I so wanted to do the Chalkboard Technique even though it was on the last day of 2012...LOL whew! It's my New favorite...so fun! Valentine Chalkboard Fun
This was a fun challenge, Judy. I enjoyed looking back at all the TLC challenges from last year and zeroed in on one of my favorite techniques, that of ruching ribbon ( TLC387 ). Thanks for putting this challenge out there!
Great challenge, and it came at just the right time for me! My creative resolution for 2013 is to try new techniques (not just pin them to Pinterest!), so this was a great challenge to start off the New Year. I used TLC388 (Triple Stamping/Seamless Tiers) for my CARD.
