TLC388 ~ Triple Stamping/Seamless Tiers ~ (7/30/12)
Hello everyone...I hope you are all having a great weekend!!!! Are you having fun with the Dare to Get Dirty challenges?? What fun to stamp all day long....well, maybe an hour or two anyway...LOL!!! I have a fun and easy TLC challenge for you this week. Sue (Bensarmom) sent me a PM about this awesome technique called Seamless Tiers and I have seen several cards here on Splitcoast using the same technique but called Triple Stamping...here are the deets:
1. Cut 3 layers of cardstock that are graduated sizes. My square layers are 4", 3", and 2". You can cut them any size or shape you want. Cut matting layers for each layer, too, in order to cover up the gap you will get on the bottom two layers.
2. Line them up, the smallest on top in the middle and work down. I have mine evenly spaced but you can get creative. It may help to lightly tape them together so they don't move.
3. Choose a stamp that will cover over all three layers or use several stamps...what ever works for you. Stamp over all the layers...wait a minute or so to divide the layers so you don't smear the ink.
4. Now, adhere the matting to the layers and adhere the layers together.
5. Have fun!!!!
Sue's Card called TLC387
My Sample
Rose Silhouettes
Remember when uploading to use keyword TLC388 (no spaces)
You can view the entire TLC388 Gallery here
Happy Stamping!!!

Oh, my goodness, Joan. I made a card using this technique for the Featured Stamper challenge today. I won't try to cheat and use it for your challenge -- I'll make another one because it was so much fun!!!

Here's my second card using this technique. I'm not sure if this one isn't a bit too busy -- but it is what it is.

I made my very first triple card a few days ago--and just found out that you posted a challenge for it today. Since the OP said she was "easy", I thought I could throw it in here. Besides, there is a link to a tutorial that someone else did in my description. Love seeing all the creative variations you all have been coming up with!
Sunflower Thank You
Thanks for looking--and letting me sneak this one in. ;)

Okay, decided I needed to post a second card for two reasons: 1) this one was made specifically for the triple stamp TLC388 challenge today and 2) I was inspired by a wonderful card in the gallery by tessaduck which inspired me. I like her layout better, but I worked with the stamp I had.

I have never done a challenge before and hadn't planned on doing this one. I had been looking at all the triple layers and decided to try one. Right before I loaded it I saw there was a challenge number so I added the number. Here it is:

Well this was harder (for me) than it looked. I love the effect though and I might try it again if I can find the right large image to use. Meanwhile, I always enjoy learning a new technique. I've made layered image cards before, but by stamping one at a time and not using mats. That way was even harder than this way.

I don't normally make cards anymore since I've gone to the digi scrapbooking side of things but wow! This looks so easy to make fast cards that I think even I could do it. I just might start making more cards again Thanks for the instructions and inspiration...
