This was such a fun challenge...i love playing with marble...well, marble and large beads..I only found one marble to play with and the beads worked out just fine. I use some Crystal Effects too..It worked pretty good along with the inks. I used it as my background paper, but you can still see it..It looks really cool
Lynn, thanks for the push to try this technique. I had a lot of fun. Even if I had to improvise a little. My first two cards were made from the paper that I made using my reinkers and dum-dum's candy pops instead of marbles. My third card used beads instead of marbles and white acrylic paint instead of reinkers.
Here are my cards:
Well, before I even go and take a peek at your creations, I have to say that you get my vote for the most determined to do this technique even if you don't have the supply list. Good for you, girl. Now off to go look.

Cool technique, Lynn! Easy to do once I found some marbles! Actually, I think they were glass balls for putting in a planter, but they worked just the same! Here is my card: TLC218 Not Alone by cmsuto at Splitcoaststampers

Okay, this is my LAST CARD for today's challenge... I promise this time! I'm sending this off to a friend who bought quilt raffle tickets from me for my Memory Walk for Alzheimer's! Thank you, Faith!

Just the inspiration I need! I don't have marbles, but I have a Dollar Tree not too many blocks away. The catch is that I will walk, thereby meeting my goal to walk more! Yea - brb!
Loved the challenge, Lynn! I had a lot of fun w/ this one. I'm glad not all of my marbles are lost, lol. Here's my Hero. TFL and I'll return to view and comment.
Good for me - I had a nice little walk! Even stampers need exercise, right?
Sad for me - Dollar Tree didn't have a bag of marbles. However I did find a little game with 6 tiny balls. This was tremendous fun and I will play with this tech again! I found that "classic" reinkers make fatter lines than the "craft". Here's mine
Here's mine called Marbled Hearts.
Thanks Lynn, it's been a while since I've done this technique.;)

After attending a stamp convention this past weekend, faux postage is back in and was all over the place. I made the postage part with various stamps, got the wrong postage on it though-should be 42, but Sunday when I printed the template off here it was 37! Then when i went to look at it again, it was corrected. LOL!!
No marbles, beads instead. Used mustard, then cocoa. When done I had to spray with the dye spray I made using sage shadow and some other greens.
Couldn't do a whole lot of the marble with the image I was using, so I just put two strips at the bottom. here is my card faux postage meets marbled paper by dardar4j at Splitcoaststampers
I finally went to Michael's on my way home and bought both Gesso and Marbles. While the Gesso is drying, I thought I would do the marbles and use it for my 3 year wedding anniversary card which is tomorrow, April 29.
I really like the way the marbles came out and kind of wish I wouldn't have covered up as much as I did.

this brings back memories. When my mother was a nursery school teacher (shes retired now) they used paint and shallow pans and marbles and let the kids shakes the pans so the marbles rolled through the paint. Ill have to try this when i get a chance =)
