Anyone is welcome to play in the weekly Teapot Challenge - the more, the merrier! You automatically become a “TEApotter” the first time you play. Where will you find inspiration? Will it be from the teapot? The destination location? Something of the recipient? Or could it be from the challenge itself? Remember, sending your card to the listed guest of honor is 100% voluntary - it's not a requirement but will be very well appreciated. Just have fun!
This week's challenge hostess is: casep/Pat
CHALLENGE:
Avast me hearties! Pull out your pirate booty! We are sending pirate cards this week! If you don't have pirate stamps, you could use a treasure chest, the Jolly Roger, or treasure of any kind. Or maybe a color scheme of black, white, and red.
CARD TYPE/THEME: Thinking of you, Hello, Sending Sunshine
If you’ve been around a while, you may remember Al Baker, a larger than life party animal who loved pirates and also had many, some serious, ailments. Sadly, Al passed away in early March and left behind his partner in crime, Teri. Teri is just lost without Al and will surely miss all the crazy things they did together. Pat (contrapat) requested a teaparty for Teri to help cheer her up and offer some comfort and brighter days ahead. Like Al, Teri loves pirates, tie dye, Renaissance fairs and fun parties.

I guess my 'challenge' is to go through my stash and find pirate themed stamps/dies. Off hand, can't think of any, but I will get a card into the mail tomorrow !
This challenge caught me off guard and I soon realized nothing I own really fit the pirate theme. I don't usually care to use digital images but I wanted to get into the spirit of the challenge for Teri. Found this fun coloring page and resized to fit my card fromt.

I found a pirate Digi over at Bugaboo, and made a card. when all done, I reinked a Copic marker over it...and it dripped..... So, after much tinkering, I am thinking it will be OK to send.....
I am coming in late, but I wanted to play along. I am so sorry to learn of Al's passing. Pat, thank you for this terrific challenge: MMTPT613 Hope by Art Deco Diva - at Splitcoaststampers. Thanks for looking! ~Karen.
