MMTPT538 ~November 13, 2018 ~ It's All About the Plants
WELCOME TO TEAPOT TUESDAY CHALLENGE MMTPT524
It's All About the Plants
Anyone is welcome to play in the weekly Teapot Challenge - the more, the merrier! You automatically become a TEApotter the first time you play. Where will you find inspiration? Will it be from the teapot? The destination location? Something of the recipient? Or could it be from the challenge itself? Remember, your participation in Destination Station is 100% voluntary and not a requirement. Just have fun!
CHALLENGE: This week our cards are all about plants. Our destination station this week loves plants and has a green house. How fun to have a green house and get to grow many different plants. So pick out your favorite plants and put them on a card.
EXTRA COOKIES: Add the color yellow to your cards for some extra cookies.
DESTINATION STATION:
Elke, known as tropicalsmiles here on SCS, has requested a teaparty for her friend, Wendy, who had surgery in October after recently being diagnosed with breast cancer. Wendy lives alone and is hardworking and never slows down to rest; however, now she will be forced to slow down and take time for herself and to recover. Elke would love for Wendy to receive some beautiful cards to lift her spirit. Wendy owns a green house and loves plants and flowers. She also loves the beach, the mountains, traveling, hummingbirds and coffee. She’s especially fond of the color yellow.
Send your cards to:

Do you know someone that could use some well wishes, encouragement or all around warm fuzzies? Consider nominating them as a guest of honor (a.k.a. destination station) for an upcoming tea party. Post your request HERE or send a PM to Jacqueline.
Anita and I must have been sharing brain waves...I did cacti too.
I made this card for Wendy a few weeks ago but then I couldn't find it. I thought maybe I had already mailed it. Luckily, it popped up yesterday as i was moving some stuff around on my desk. Phew.
Here's mine - a garden full of poppies. At one stage in our previous house before my blue Himalayan poppy disappeared without trace, I had that, I had oriental poppies, shirley poppies and iceland poppies - not to mention Californian. I guess you could tell I love poppies . I also guess I should have made these orange or yellow, but I wasn't going to start over as I'm a bit short on time right now.

I made this card with Elke in mind, but then a friend, who was a rare auto-immune disease and has been in recovery during the past year, but still had to use a walker, recently had a relapse and ended up back in the hospital for a week, so I had to steal Elke's card to send off to my friend instead, but I wanted to enter it in the challenge at least, because it fit so perfectly.
My favorite plant is a mini yellow rose bush my husband planted in the yeard many year's ago. It has such pretty blossoms in the early spring and smells delicious as well. Here is my card: Thinking You Much Better Real Soon!
