WELCOME TO TEAPOT TUESDAY CHALLENGE MMTPT525 Theres No Place Like Home
Anyone is welcome to play -the more, the merrier! You automatically become a TEApotter the first time you play in our challenge. Where will you find inspiration? Will it be from the teapot? The destination location? Something about the recipient? Or could it be from the challenge itself? Remember, your participation in Destination Station is 100% voluntary and not a requirement. Just have fun!
CHALLENGE:
Our honoree this week has a new house! Lets make a card that says home. Anything that makes you think of home is good. DESTINATION STATION: SCS Dr Sonja has requested a teaparty for her mother, Annette, who recently celebrated her 85th birthday and got a new house. Heres what Sonja submitted, My mother will be having her 85th birthday July 8 and she recently moved right next door to me. We built a gate in the fence so crossing into her yard is a breeze and wonderful to have her near. She was widowed last year so this is her first birthday solo. A combination birthday/house warming might be a fun theme. She is a musician, artist, fine wine sipper, and down-right clever woman with a great sense of humor. Cue the music and raise a glass to Miss Annette. Lets send her a whole lot of happy - Splitcoaststampers style!<o:p

I wanted to use a really sarcastic message stamp about King Tut's tomb being robbed but couldn't send it out to someone I didn't know. I went with Congratulations and Happy Birthday inside. It feels good to surprise others with a card for Teapot Tuesday and I went for the double header of using the Double Diagonal fold too from Monday's Techniques Challenge. Garden Gate
I hope she likes birdhouses! (I immediately thought "birdhouses" when I saw the title of this week's Teapot challenge!) :-D

Omg! Im behind on sending mail: bills, birthday cards, RAKs... and Merediths card from last week.
Omg! I sent Merediths to Annette. Ill send a card from my stash to Meredith, but the card Annette is getting doesnt have a house on it. LOL There is good news. I wrote a nice note on the inside that included her new house.
I guess I dont have to make a house card now. Im so exhausted from DTGD challenges that Ill wait until next week.

I am playing Challenge cardmaking, and hopefully, doing some catching up from really old to fairly new. My card imagine's the wonderful garden in our teapotter's new home. As I'm very late to the party, my card will be a birthday card for a dear friend & cardmaking buddy.
