NOMINATION THREAD
I am excited to annouce our first ever Teapot Tuesday A-Card-& Me Awards! This is our opportunity to recognize those teapotters who came to the teaparty this week with the determination, creativity, hard work and extra effort to take home extra cookies! Giggle! Ain't nuttin' we won't do for extra cookies!
We have awards in two categories. Our goal was to either be elegant or not. The categories are:
The Best of the Best ~ Best Dressed, Most Elegant!
and
The Worst of the Worst ~ Worst Dressed, Least Elegant!
Post your nominations here. Leave a link so other cans quickly view your nomination as well as the name of the card maker and the title of the card. Be sure to identify the category your nomination is in the running for, the Worst of the Worst or the Best of the Best!
The two winners will get extra cookies (Yes! Dun, I do remember where I hid them!) and in addition they get bragging rights for an entire year! Whoo hoo!
We will take nominations through Friday evening and then Saturday I will post a couple of threads (polls) so that all of you can vote! We will vote through Monday and on next Tuesday I will announce the award winners! Tee hee!
I am a pushover for an elegant dress and some swirly shapes. Kind of like the way things look after just one champagne, I would guess, not that I ever get to drink champagne!
I heard a rumor that she took all the cookies for herself and replaced them with cow patties. I grew up in Wisconsin where cow chip tossing and knocking over sleeping cows were both olympic level sports -- with huge beer drinking audiences, so this really rang true as a totally unsophisticated card.

I was thinking we might not get any...thinking that people are probably so confused because there ARE SO MANY awesome cards in both categories! In addition to our nominations....I was thinking I might get the current Dirty Dozen members to view the gallery and make nominations in both categories...just to have some outside eyes! And then I can build the polls in separate threads and the teapotters can all vote over the weekend....good idear or not?

I think outside eyes is a good plan. I'm watching and lurking....waiting till all of us at the late gate get posted....then will try to make a decision....
Cindy - Teapotters sure know how to throw a party, for a cause, in style!! What a fun and special event - there are sooo many beautiful cards and so many inspiring and touching words of hope for Lauren. No doubt she will be blown away! I have SEVERAL favorites in the gallery and would love to nominate them all if that's permissable :-)...
Both of these had serious competition.....this wasn't an easy decision. there are such wonderfully creative talented gals in teapotterville....and they all deserve awards for Best Supporting Artists....

I agree.....let's just have a "cookie" party for ALL! In fact, I took a rain day and I am going to start making those "cookies". Don't worry, I won't let Curt help. hehe I like ALL the cards, Best and Worst, they are ALL wonderful!!!!! :0)

Okay. I've seen what's posted so far and my hands down favs for Best and Worst Dressed is the entry from foxy67 titled "Mr. and Mrs. B&W dressed." Hilarious!!!:p

Definitely a good ideer!! There are too many Fantastic cards to pick just one, and we need "professional Help" LOL - watch the way you are thinking - giggle!!

Hey sue Why didn't you tell me about Lauren Sooner? I make Lauren card but I have mailed yet..... But I will. and I did not get pick for the running but okay in my heart I did becuse I helping Lauren. And that the passtion in my heart is help others. thanks hotwheels

Oh my gosh, Linda, I thought you knew - you can still mail it if you want - it is never too late!!! -- this is a regular thing with the Teapot parties - there is a destination station - a place where we can send our card to the person listed in the challenge - at the end of Mothermark's story every week. If you want, you could ask Mothermark to send you an email each week or I can forward the info to you each week - you don't HAVE to send off your card - it is strictly voluntary - some of the recipients are kids, some are adults and some are people going through tough times like chemo, sickness or a death in the family. Contact either Mothermark or me if you need help following what we are doing, okay?? I am going away next week, but I will ask Mothermark if she could add you to the list of people she emails about the Teapot party, okay? Hope that helps!

Linda...do you have an email address? I can email you the challenge early every week. Like Sue says, at the bottom of the challenge there is information where we are sending our cards.
Here is a link to the Destination Station thread where the addresses are listed each week. Always look at the last post in the thread.
I would be happy to email you a link each week so you can follow along if you choose to mail your card to each week's destination!

WOW...there are amazing creations in the gallery...I am still torn as I type on my decision...lol. I think I am actually going to play a game of eeny meeny miny moe to help me decide...lol....be right back....drum roll please, I chose these two.....
