Anyone is welcome to play in the weekly Teapot Challenge - the more, the merrier! You automatically become a “TEApotter” the first time you play. Where will you find inspiration? Will it be from the teapot? The destination location? Something of the recipient? Or could it be from the challenge itself? Remember, sending your card to the listed guest of honor is 100% voluntary - it's not a requirement but will be very well appreciated. Just have fun!
This week's challenge hostess is: jacqueline/Jacqueline
CHALLENGE:
To represent the half moon shaped camper our teaparty recipient used to own, your challenge is to incorporate an arch or half circle in your design.
CARD TYPE/THEME: Thinking of You, Encouragement, Warm Fuzzies
This week's teaparty request comes from MaryJo (SCS Icela52I). Last month, her husband, Nick, was diagnosed with stage 3 lymphoma - they're waiting for Nick's bone marrow biopsy to determine if it is a stage 4 Lymphoma. In just one week Nick and MaryJo's lives were turned upside down. Nick started a 3-month chemo journey on June 13th and thankfully, the doctor has given him a favorable prognosis.
MaryJo added that Nick always enjoys her teaparty tickles. He admires the handiwork and reads all the messages so she knows Nick would love receiving his own cards to admire along with messages to help lift his spirits. Nick loves golfing and camping in a camper. He used to own a pop-up and graduated to a metal one (one that looks like a half moon).

Here is my card for Nick; if anyone knows him personally, please let me know if he would appreciate this kind of humor - if not, I can make another card!
I finally finished Nick's card. I had to wait till he went to bed. LOL
Thank you for choosing him as a teapotter recipient this week. It will make his day. I have not said anything to him yet. But will when his cards start arriving. He keeps asking me to go get the mail so he has something to do. He is begining to love receiving junk mail. LOL MMTPT729 LIFE IS GOOD by Icela52 at Splitcoaststampers
We have had good news this week, his white blood count is normal and his bone marrow biopsy shows no cancer in his bones. Praise God. His red blood cells are low. waiting to hear on that if he needs a transfusion. He is coming out of his 2nd week of chemo side affects and has an up beat attitude. He is losing his hair and I make a joke about it. We laugh about it a lot. He is definitely my chemo man. LOVE it.
Hugs to all for cheering him up.
Mary Jo, I'm going to send Nick a card from my stash, as I think I have a few good ones to choose from. I normally wouldn't do that but I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed lately, as the house I rent is up for sale. A fair amount of stress going on here. I am thinking of you both.

Thank you DonnaJeanne, I will keep y'all posted. I'm getting excited, I can't wait to see the look on his face.
Hugs,
Hi Everyone, you really brightened Nick's day today. I heard him laughing reading your cards and came to tell me stories about camping in a tent for the first time. I said that little camper is my dream camper and he laughed so hard I thought his port was going to come out of his chest. He got yours Karen and Faith and couldn't stop laughing. Lisa, Nick said"Lisa mad a great card with ties". You did a great job giving the illusion of ties.
so all in all he received, Jacqueline's, Roberta's, Faith's, Lisa's, Karen's, and Mary's cards.
Nick is having a good day today, and I'm participating in DTGD. He wants me to let you know he appreciates the well wishes, making him laugh, and the prayers. Today is a very good day.
Love to all and many hugs from both of us.
I'm a little late to the party; everyone in my house has been sick all week. However, I really wanted to make one for Nick and I finally had the energy to do it. Here it is.
didn't have time to do a 'challenge' with the half circle, had to pull this card from my stash... no time to play in craft room but always time to pull a card for to bring a smile to someone..
Hi Everyone, I hope you had a great weekend. I've been busy doing cards for DTGD and finished all the cards. It was a gruling week with Nick being sick the 1st 2.5 days of last week, as the week went by he felt better everyday. Today he felt really great. Tuesday he has chemo again and we will go through the whole process again. Thank you all so very much for cheering him up it really worked.
Nick wanted me to tell all of you thank you for the cards. you really perked him up. your cards are hanging over the fireplace where he can see them all the time and will stay there till he is done with chemo.
Many Hugs,
Sorry the treatments are making Nick feel ill. Glad he gets better before the next round though. Thanks for posting the picture. So fun to see them all displayed around your mantel.

Thanks Debbie,
we always see the Dr. before chemo and he was pleased that Nick's white blood count is normal along with his red blood count. He has amazed his dr. all because the power of prayer.
Today he gets injected with a drug to stimulate the growth of new white blood cells. It's all working. 3 more treatments to go. Pet scan on the 8th.
prayer does work.
Many hugs to all
Hi Everyone,
I wanted to bring you up to speed with Nick. We are stunned by the results of of his Pet Scan on in October. The good news is most of his cancer is gone in his neck and chest area. The bad news is the cancer in his abdomen and pelvis area is not responding to the chemo and started to grow again. He finished his last chemo treatment on 9/27.
We are waiting for a biopsy to be scheduled to see if this is a new strain of cancer. We are waiting for an appointment too Duke Medical Center in NC. to see if he will be able to be treated there.. It will be a very aggressive treatment.
I am asking for prayers again that he is strong enough to beat this. Your cards are still hanging over the mantel and are not coming down until he beats this.
There aren't enough hugs in the world to express how much you helped us through this. Thank you.
