Splitcoaststampers.com - the world's #1 papercrafting community
You're currently viewing Splitcoaststampers as a GUEST. We pride ourselves on being great hosts, but guests have limited access to some of our incredible artwork, our lively forums and other super cool features of the site! You can join our incredible papercrafting community at NO COST. So what are you waiting for?
Anyone is welcome to play in the weekly Teapot Challenge - the more, the merrier! You automatically become a “TEApotter” the first time you play. Where will you find inspiration? Will it be from the teapot? The destination location? Something of the recipient? Or could it be from the challenge itself? Remember, sending your card to the listed guest of honor is 100% voluntary - it's not a requirement but will be very well appreciated. Just have fun!
This week's challenge hostess is: Shoe Girl / Lisa
CHALLENGE: Our destination this week is a Stampin Up crafter. The challenge this week is to pick your own fun craft technique you want to use on your cards. I can't wait to see what technique you add to your cards. If you need some inspiration, feel free to check the Tutorials section on SplitcoastStampers HERE.
CARD TYPE/THEME: Hello; Thinking of You; Cheerful; Hugs
Today's Tea Party was requested n2scrappin (LeAnn) for her friend and Stampin' Up team member, Tricia. Tricia had open heart surgery in June involving seven bypasses. Unfortunately, she has had multiple complications and is currently functioning with only 15% of her heart. She is a wife and a mother of two teenage daughters. She is a stamper and used to run her own donut shop. She is young at heart, loves beautiful things, and all styles of cards. LeAnn says that Tricia would really appreciate your happy and supportive cards.

Misted Watercolor was the technique I chose with these stamps and I made a pretty quick card for me...LOL The stamps were donated to a crafting retreat I attended, including the doodling on the outer edge - Rubbernecker stamps.
Here's mine - I used the sanded pencil background.
And then with all the pencil still stuck to the stencil, I got a couple more backgrounds which went into my stash, bonus.
Thanks for the fun challenge, Lisa! I used ink-resist and stamping my own patterned paper techniques. LeAnn, thanks for giving us the opportunity to send some cheerful cards to Tricia. Here's my card for her:
God demonstrated His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us ... being now justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him. Romans 5:8 & 9
