COMFORT FOR JOYCE

CHALLENGE:
Let's make some pretty, girly cards this week. We are sending comfort to Joyce who just lost her husband of over 50 years.

CARD TYPE/THEME: Thinking of You; Hugs; Comfort. Religious themes appreciated.

This week's Tea Party was requested by Jean (jkanack) for her Aunt Joyce. Her husband Don was in home hospice care, and just passed away. I feel sure that Joyce could use some hugs right now. She has a long-haired dachschund named Augie, and she is a quilter and gardener. Her favorite colors are pink and lime green.

Thank you all for participating in this teaparty for my dear aunt. My uncle was a wonderful man and I'm so grateful that he was mine. I'm working a primary election today but I will surely comment. BTW, my uncle loved tigers, elephants and rhinos so if you want to work one of those in, that would be grand. His prayer card at the funeral was a picture of him at the Milwaukee County Zoo with an elephant in the background.

Here is a thank you note from my Aunt Joyce...she was blown away by the tea party. Thank you all! The five month ordeal has been tough on everyone.

Thank you all so much for the beautiful cards with such encouraging messages to me. Every card is so amazing with a theme that goes with my life and even elephants and an old newspaper for Don. I’m so touched by the beautiful words from people who’ve never met me, you all made this trying time a little easier for me. These cards are going in a special album I picked out just for them, I will cherish them always.
