Anyone is welcome to play in the weekly Teapot Challenge - the more, the merrier! You automatically become a “TEApotter” the first time you play. Where will you find inspiration? Will it be from the teapot? The destination location? Something of the recipient? Or could it be from the challenge itself? Remember, sending your card to the listed guest of honor is 100% voluntary - it's not a requirement but will be very well appreciated. Just have fun!
This week's challenge hostess is:peeps321/Polly
CHALLENGE:
When I think of July I think of all the fun summer activities I can do now that it's hot, sunny, everyone's happy to be on vacation, kids are out of school, and this year we can add we have survived the Year of Covid-19. My challenge to you is to make a summery card. So include anything that says summer to you: Pools, outdoors, flowers, red white and blue for July 4th, county fairs, ice cream, stargazing, bike rides, bees, berry picking, kite flying, flip flops...you get the idea.
For a little added inspiration and to get you in a summer mood, here's a video you might know:
CARD TYPE/THEME:Thinking of You, Encouragement, Hello, Sunshine. Spiritual/scripture cards welcome
Jacqueline requested this week’s teaparty for a former co-worker. Tymekia is just the sweetest, most humble, soft spoken lady. Sadly, she’s had many health issues over the past few years and subsequently have gotten so bad that she, unfortunately, had to resign from work a couple of months ago. Tymekia did her best to come to work and do her job even though she felt awful and often had to go home early. Jacqueline occasionally shared her cards with Tymekia and thought a teaparty to lift Tymekia’s spirits would be a great gesture. Tymekia would absolutely adore receiving the homemade cards.
Tymekia has a sense of humor and would appreciate some kind, lighthearted messages. We don’t know the specifics of her ailments so any encouraging, thinking of you type card will do.

Do you know someone that could use some well wishes, encouragement or all around warm fuzzies? Consider nominating them as a guest of honor (a.k.a. destination station) for an upcoming tea party. Send your request to jacqueline via PM or e-mail[email protected].Include SCS Teaparty Request in the subject line.
My card for Tymekia. For this week’s summer challenge, the first set I thought of was Summer By The Sea - still one of my favorite “classic” Stampin Up sets.
Polly, it gave me joy to made a card of encouragement for Tymekia! I had fun sending her some 'summery flowers' to enjoy ..... thank you for the challenge!
God demonstrated His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us ... being now justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him. Romans 5:8 & 9
Thank you all that sent cards and well wishes to Tymekia. I'm sure it brought her much joy and comfort knowing people were thinking of her. Sadly, Tymekia passed away last night. Thank you again for your kindness and please keep her family in your thoughts and prayers. 💜

I'm working on my "Challenge Catch-up" cardmaking goal and some current challenges as well.
Summer is a time to enjoy my daughter's garden flowers as she hosts family get togethers. One of my favorites is her poppies, which provide lots of bright color in late spring and throughout the summer. My card features a red poppy.
Being late to this tea party, my card is a family member's birthday party.
