Teapot Tuesday challenge MMTPT673 Thanks to Gautam
Anyone is welcome to play in the weekly Teapot Challenge -- the more, the merrier! You automatically become a "TEApotter" the first time you play. Where will you find inspiration? Will it be from the teapot? The destination location? Something about the recipient? Or could it be from the challenge itself? Remember, sending your card to the listed guest of honor is 100% voluntary-- it's not a requirement, but will be very well appreciated. Just have fun!
This week's challenge hostess is: casep/Pat
CHALLENGE:
Sometimes I am overwhelmed with the kindness of others. We are sending cards to a pharmacist, so if you have any pharmacy related images you can include them on your card. For example anything related to a prescription. Or since we are thanking him specifically to helping with vaccinations you might have a hypodermic needle image. If not, just go with something that says Thank You in a big way.
CARD TYPE/THEME: Thank you
DESTINATION: During the pandemic the elderly were encouraged to stay in to stay safe. Then when the vaccines became available, many older people did not have devices to go online and make appointments. A pharmacist in Brooksville, Florida was concerned about this problem so he let people make appointments on the phone, and when possible he let people walk in and get vaccines. He also heard of a nearby 55+ community that needed someone to provide vaccines to some of their elderly residents and he not only went there to give vaccines at a central location, but also drove around the community with a resident and gave vaccines to those who were homebound. This pharmacist, Gautam Thakkar, once worked for a chain, but then opened his own pharmacy so he could serve his customers better. He often delivers their medications to them if they cannot come and pick them up. His wife Heena works in the pharmacy as well. Let's give Gautam and Heena a big thank you for their extraordinary care and kindness.

That's because you need to have a certain amount of posts/comments under your belt (I think the pop-up says 3 but in practice it might be a few more) before you can link in a thread. Thanks for linking, Pat.
Seriously, if there was a Nobel Prize for Humanity, this couple would win hands down. I live in the 55+ community Pat refers to and this couple was a god send. We had several housebound seniors who were stressing over getting the shot and these wonderful people came TWICE to administer their first and second doses. They get it. They stepped up to help not only the seniors, but our entire community being among the first in the state to vaccinate at risk people. Theirs is a name I will long remember. Thank you, Pat. I will be back with my card later.

I chose baby wipe technique for this card, but I should have chosen striped wipe, which I can't find in the technique list. I don't want anyone confuzzled (Sabrina taught me that word.).
