#MMTPT65: BLACKEN WHITE'S GETTIN' COLOR TONIGHT!
WELCOME TO TEAPOT TUESDAY AND CHALLENGE #65
BLACKEN WHITE'S GETTIN' COLOR TONIGHT!
This is my story!
1. I'm back just in time for the big shindig tonight. Our first night time teaparty. We've been invited to the home of Mr. and Mrs. Blacken White for a big Halloween Teaparty! But don't think we don't have a job to do because as you know there is always a catch when we've been offered free tea and sweet treats.
2. We have been hired by Blanca, Blanca White! She is at her wits end and this is a do or die attempt to save her marriage! She suspected that her husband, Blacken, married her just because of her first name. After years and years of marriage she has become painfully aware that Blacken's obsession with black and white will only be broken by desperate measures! His parents loved the idea of naming their son Blacken. Its a strong, powerful name and it goes so well with white! Little did they know it would be the cause of a lifetime of obsession for their son!
3. They live on Zebra street in Black Hawk, Colorado in a black and white house, have two dalmations, a black car for her, a white truck for him, a closet full of black and white pin-striped suits, stark white dress shirts, little black dresses, ancient black and white tv's, black and white checkered floors, and black sofas with white throw pillows. Even their Halloween candy is black licorice and white divinity.
4. Blanca loves Halloween, its the one time of year that she can decorate with a color other than black and white. Blacken allows her to place two orange pumpkins on the front porch every Halloween! She suspects if Blacken saw their home in living color, he may change his ways. Here's the plan Fran (Fran is Blanco's sister-in-law) Our mission is to hit Blacken hard, with color! Color, color, color! Bring your best decorating colors, let's hit this black and white house big time with spashes of color. Vases with flowers, colorful sofas, wallpaper, rugs, pillows....and don't forget the closets, colorful little dresses, shirts, hats, shoes. We might as well hit the outside too, colorful birdies, blooming flowers, maybe a colorful gingerbread wall or two! Stay away from the black and white! But since there are no rules to this challenge, if you do bring some black and white, you just have to come in the back door and hide if you see Blanca!! Have fun with color!
Be sure to you use KEYWORD MMTPT65 in your upload and post a comment here so we can all see your card!
Here is a link to my Teapot Tuesday #65 card.
Here is a link to the MMTPT65 Challenge Gallery and our adventures in puttin' some color to ole' Blacken White!!
Ever want to get a jump on next week's challenge card? I am posting a sneak peak (tea peak) on my blog each week showing you a glimpse of the following week's teapot as well as a hint of the story! It's at the end of the Teapot Tuesday Post each week. I usually post it a couple days after the Tuesday Challenge is posted. So, be sneaky and get a jump on the other tea-potters! Snort!
If you are confused about these challenge, see the first sticky post of this thread for more information as well as a directory of individual challenges.

Yea!! So good to see Cindy back and up to her normal stuff again. This teapot is way cute but am so glad Ms. White wants us to impose some color on her place as I'm not very good at black and white. Will be back later to brighten up the place.
And a SUPER DUPER ATTA GIRL to MariLynn for keeping the party going the last month. You are the BESTEST gal Friday ever!!

Cindy's back!!!YEAH... and I get to make a colorful card... Whoo Hooo!! Putting my thinking cap on. We might have someone guard the pumpkins. We would hate to get on the bad side of Blanca if something happened to them.

So glad to have you back, Cindy! Thanks, MariLynn, for keeping the tea parties going! Well, I guess I'm coming in the back door with my mostly black and white creation! I only added a smidge of color to Blanca and Blacken's house! I'll take my chances with Blanca, although I'm pretty sure there'll be no tea and treats for me when she sees this: MMTPT65 Halloween Tea Party by cmsuto at Splitcoaststampers
Can't help it that I needed a Halloween card that actually looked like one!!
Thanks for the fun!

Whoo Hoo! Muddermark is back to her usual self. Special thanks to our dear sweet Marilynn for keeping us going on your down time. What would we do without you two?.....and no pretend Tuesdays? Well, my head is spinning with all kinds of ideas. Hopefully it stops on a good one. Have a great day ladies. See you soon. :0)

Ok....So maybe I read the story wrong. Or maybe I have already drunk too much of your fine tea! SNORT! I just happen to be on the wrong holiday but I figure Christmas comes after Halloween with Thanksgiving in between but hey! Lets not get nitpicky. I brought color after all! A tree and snow is possible at Halloween somewhere in the world...right??? I will even be back later with something good to eat although I think i am still stuck on the wrong holiday. SO GREAT to have you back Cindy that you have me all confused!! Hows that for reasoning???
Here is my card

WooHooo -- Cindy's back. Welcome back, it's not the same without you (Although MariLynn was a real trooper and deserves many, many thanks).
WooHoo-- the Teaparty has its own little corner of the forum. How awesome is that?
Now, I guess I better made a card to celebrate, Huh?

Please don't look at the front of my card and send me to the back door- my aim is to show that the Whites can bring some magic into their lives and save their marriage with some compromise! Blacken might think that I have brought an elegant black and white card along, with a bleached peacock for the garden, but that is not the case.
Lovely to have you back to lead us all into the realms of fun and mischief.
Thanks to MariLynn for stepping in, too.

Well, since we can bring anything colorful, I'm bringing lemons and we'll help Blanca make lemonade out of the lemons life gave her. (Or, if that's too summery, we can just slice them and add them to our tea).

Yippie - I am so glad to see you here this morning Cindy! I am so surprised the theme isn't western (ha, ha, giggle, snort...). Can't wait to make this card - it may take me a few days but I will be at the party for sure!

Well, late again...
First of all, special thanks to MariLynn for filling in so capably.
Cindy, it is good to read your stories again! Welcome back.
I hope I followed the directions - good thing there are no rules. Ms Blanca should be happy with the white tub and snow!
I HAD to do a snowy card = right now, we are glad we left Colorado behind a few weeks ago - though the AZ winds could die down any time.

I'm telling you, I could have made a real gingerbread house and decorated it in less time than this card took. I felt bad I didn't bring anything to eat first time round, so when I remembered these images that I'd downloaded back in the summer, I thought I'd make up for it by not only colouring up the White's house but by bringing lots of Sweet Treats.
