2020 Be Gone!

CHALLENGE:

Let's face it, 2020 just plain sucked. I'm sure the year's been different for everyone and for some, it may have sucked more than it had for others. With all that has taken place this year I'm sure most people are just ready to see 2020 go away already. Buh-bye. Adios. Good Riddens! Let's just squash 2020 and get ready for 2021. My challenge this week is to create a colorful background (or other element) using the ink smooshing technique. It's easy and fun. Here are a couple links to help you get started:

CARD TYPE/THEME: Sympathy, Thinking of You/Comforting Words, Sunshine, Hello, Holiday

Our last destination teaparty for the year is here. But, don't forget that next week is our final Tickle of the year. Maryagnes, aka SCS mac4551 requested a tea party for her friend Theresa. We previously had a teaparty for Theresa back in January to help her through a serious health issue which, praise be to our Lord, has been pretty much resolved. Theresa has been brought back to us because, sadly, her husband, Louie, passed away December 5. He had been in the hospital a few weeks and they discovered 3 types of cancer; he was in his early 80's. Because of COVID, Theresa hasn't been permitted to see Louis since before Thanksgiving and she may not have been able to see him one last time before funeral arrangements were made. Theresa doesn't drive and has no children so she has to rely on relatives for help. She needs lots of encouragement now, especially going into the holidays. Theresa loves paper crafting and has been making cards for almost 50 years! She is easy to please and loves all things, especially hand crafted items.

thank you so much for posting this request.  Sadly, Louie was also buried ON Theresa's birthday, Dec 11...  Although he was very sick, his passing was totally unexpected at this time.  Thank you to all who can send her a card !  Stay safe everyone, Merry Christmas and have a safe, healthy Happy New Year !

I feel for Theresa...I've had family pass away in December and it's very sad and also for years after that around the holidays... :( I hope we can show our Teapotter support for her and send lots of paper hugs.

Yesterday was a "booger" at work  - I had to get 3 days work input squeezed into that day but now I'm off till next week.  Theresa was one of the very first people I sent a card to when I became a teapotter last year so she holds a very special place in my heart.

Wishing all a Merry Christ and a Happy New Year! 

Yes is a sad day for Theresa as I know what is like to have the loss of a loved one around Christmas as Dec. 11 was 1 year mark on my husband passing, is hard but with each day it gets a little better and hope it does for Theresa as well.

I haven't had time to do this challenge yet but I will definitely get a card in the mail.  DonnaJeanne I am so sorry for your loss.  My thoughts are with you.  I lost my mother on January 2, 2017.  All the firsts without them are so hard.
