Teapot Tuesday Challenge MMTPT633
In the Heart of Texas
Anyone is welcome to play in the weekly Teapot Challenge - the more, the merrier! You automatically become a “TEApotter” the first time you play. Where will you find inspiration? Will it be from the teapot? The destination location? Something of the recipient? Or could it be from the challenge itself? Remember, sending your card to the listed guest of honor is 100% voluntary - it's not a requirement but will be very well appreciated. Just have fun! This week's challenge hostess is: peeps321/Polly CHALLENGE:
When I think of the Lone Star state it conjures up images of Texas longhorns, cactus, rodeos, chili, and bluebonnets. Use a pattern somewhere on your card. It can be patterned paper, a stenciled background, script or other stamping on your background, zentangle or doodling.
Extra cookies: include a star, big or small, somewhere on your card in honor of the Lone Star state
CARD TYPE/THEME: Hello, Encouragement, Thinking of You, Humorous, Cheerful. Spiritual cards are welcome.
This week we’re going deep in the heart of Texas to bring some SCS cheer to Paula and Howard. SCS Pvilbaum (Pat) requested this week’s teaparty for her best friend, Paula, and Paula’s husband, Howard who was recently diagnosed with stage 4 Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma. He will start chemo soon at MD Anderson but they’re both still in shock from the diagnosis. Both of them can use some encouraging, cheerful messages now. Howard likes gardening and has a great sense of humor. Paula plays the piano and they both like gnomes.
SEND CARDS TO:
Howard & Paula Brown 11962 Linger Lane Conroe, TX 77303 USA Link to today’s Teapot Tuesday Challenge Gallery: MMTPT633
Be sure to you use KEYWORD MMTPT633 in your upload and post a comment here so we can all see your card!
Do you know someone that could use some well wishes, encouragement or all around warm fuzzies? Consider nominating them as a guest of honor (a.k.a. destination station) for an upcoming tea party. Send your request to jacqueline via PM or e-mail [email protected]. Include SCS Teaparty Request in the subject line.

wow - great cards. I will make a card using the Spellbinders Gnome set... don't think I have any stamps nor dies to meet the challenge.... but, I'll send my card in tomorrows mail.
(one of these days I'll learn how to post a pic of the cards I create -- or I should say I'll take the TIME to LEARN to post a pic. LOL ).
Polly this was a great challenge! I used bg dp of writing.

Thanks, Polly, for hosting this challenge! You had me at gnomes...I remembered that I had downloaded a free digi stamp not too long ago from Kit & Clowder! Here's my Thoughtful Gnome for the Browns.

There were so many cute gnome cards in the gallery, that I had to order some gnome stamps today, as I didn't have any. Now I will be all ready for the next time I need some.

Don't think the link to highlight worked. Oh well, you can just go to my name and click and it will take you there to my gallery to see the card.

Well, I was able to fix it for you on my phone, but only after spending ten minutes trying on the PC and getting error messages every time. I can't even post a reply on my PC :-(.
I just realized that when you fixed it, which I do thank you for, the card I just posted for a WT challenge just now is still giving me the problem in not showing in bold. I have posted the problem in the support help but have not heard anything back from that yet. I know they are busy.
Just want to say thank you for all the cards for howard and Paula! They are all wonderful! I have been gone for two weeks and just got back late last night.
I will send my card off tomorrow to finish off their week. They were so surprised to start getting the cards in the mail. It really made their day. Howard will be having the Drug therapy instead of Chemo and so far he's not been feeling too bad from it. It is a new type of treatment for this and he was so happy he qualified to do this instead of Chemo. He does have to stay in the hospital 3 days at a time and then he gets to come home for the rest of the week. Then he goes back for another three days to increase the dose. I don't know how often he will have the increase, eventually it will be the right dose and then he will keep taking the treatment for about two years. So keep them in your prayers, this will be an ongoing treatment.
I'm playing my "Challenge Catch-up" cardmaking. Some are 2021 challenges and are fairly recent and some are really old!
This challenge is to use a pattern on your card with a bonus to use a star because our Teapotters live in the Lone Star state of Texas. My pattern is repeated, embossed BG trees + the zebra patterned paper. Stars are included on one of patterned papers and represented by the sparkly rhinestone tree toppers. The hello theme is in the "Christmas Greetings." As I'm late to the party, my card, a Christmas hello card, will go to of one of our masculine friends.
