Anyone is welcome to play in the weekly Teapot Challenge - the more, the merrier! You automatically become a “TEApotter” the first time you play. Where will you find inspiration? Will it be from the teapot? The destination location? Something of the recipient? Or could it be from the challenge itself? Remember, sending your card to the listed guest of honor is 100% voluntary - it's not a requirement but will be very well appreciated. Just have fun!
This week's challenge hostess is: susieaustralia/Susie
CHALLENGE: As Janet loves making cards, I thought we could send paper hugs by choosing a "paper" technique and using any subject you like. I found these fun techniques in the SCS Tutorials.
Extra cookies if you add a "hat" to your chosen paper tutorial. Don't forget that you can take inspiration from the Teapot or cookies.
CARD TYPE/THEME: Comfort, Thinking of You, Hello (please avoid get well or hopeful sentiments).
papercrafter40 (Andrea) reached out to request a teaparty for her friend, Janet. Janet is caring for her husband, Bruce, who has terminal lung cancer. Janet loves making cards herself and often makes/sends cards to hospitalized children through Send a Smile 4 Kids. Janet and Bruce can surely use some comforting thoughts.
SEND CARDS TO: Janet (and Bruce) Baily 10874 Tansy Ct Roscoe, IL 61073-6352 USA

Do you know someone that could use some well wishes, encouragement or all around warm fuzzies? Consider nominating them as a guest of honor (a.k.a. destination station) for an upcoming tea party. Send your request to jacqueline via PM or e-mail [email protected]. Include SCS Teaparty Request in the subject line.

Susie, I have a question...what's with the extra cookies for using a hat? Is is because the woman on the teapot has one on or was it just a random thing? Just wondering...;)

Good question Polly. I was trying to think of something that women and men use or do, just in case a Teapotter wanted to make their card for both Janet and Bruce. Hats was the first thing I thought of, which is funny because the original card I made for them didn't have a hat LOL. The gallery looks great, I'm off to comment now

Late to the party again! No extra cookies for me, but I did use paper piecing on my card. Thanks, Susie, for a fun challenge!

I am playing my "Challenge Catch-up" cardmaking. This is a card for my brother who recently lost his wife.
Theme: comfort, thinking of you, hello, etc. Use a paper technique on your card. I have used paper piercing on my card. As I am late to the party, my thinking of you card will go to my brother, who recently lost his wife.
