WELCOME TO TEAPOT TUESDAY CHALLENGE MMTPT593 “A Sister's Love”
Anyone is welcome to play in the weekly Teapot Challenge - the more, the merrier! You automatically become a “TEApotter” the first time you play. Where will you find inspiration? Will it be from the teapot? The destination location? Something of the recipient? Or could it be from the challenge itself? Remember, your participation in Destination Station is 100% voluntary and not a requirement. Just have fun!
CHALLENGE & DESTINATION STATION:
Many of you may be familiar with Kristie Marcotte and her blog “The Best Things in Life are Pink”. Kristie’s ability to use up an entire 6x6 paper pad and a few card sketches is magical. The end result is a lovely stack of cards that Kristie usually donates to a local retirement home or other similar group. Kristie recently mentioned on Instagram that her sister, Jamie, is battling cancer. We reached out to Kristie and offered a Teaparty in Jamie’s honor to which she said Jamie would be thrilled and that it would lift her spirits tremendously. Jamie has Stage 4 cancer and is receiving treatment but without a miracle, she will be fighting this the rest of her life. Because of this, phrases such as “You can beat this” and “You’ve got this” are discouraged. Jamie can use positive, thoughtful messages just to let her know we’re thinking of her.
Kristie says Jamie’s favorite color is green and she loves the outdoors, crafting and knitting.
Challenge: Since Kristie is known for her sketches I thought we could do a sketch challenge. Check out eight different sketches on her blog, pick a favorite and use that for your card for Jamie.
**Extra cookies if you use some patterned paper on your card since Kristie likes to use that as well.**
Send your cards to:

Do you know someone that could use some well wishes, encouragement or just some warm fuzzies? Consider nominating them as a guest of honor (a.k.a. destination station) for an upcoming tea party. Post your request HEREor send a PM tojacqueline.
You other knitters are very kind not to have mentioned that I stamped my needles the wrong way! Just noticed it now. I'll make a joke about it when I write the card tomorrow...and I'll also be along to comment tomorrow. Taking a break tonight as I felt really unwell earlier.

My only sister is two years younger than me--and I can't imagine what I would do without her. I hope my Thoughtful Beaver card will make Jamie smile. He's very sincere in his thoughts of her!
**donnajeanne--keeping you & your hubby in my thoughts & prayers as well...**

A little late to the tea party, and thank you Polly, for extending some love these two loving sisters.
I’ll be back later today to view and comment on the gallery.
