Anyone is welcome to play in the weekly Teapot Challenge - the more, the merrier! You automatically become a “TEApotter” the first time you play. Where will you find ]inspiration? Will it be from the teapot or from the challenge theme itself? Remember, your participation in Destination Station is 100% voluntary and not a requirement. Just have fun!
Happy New Year! Welcome to 2019 and another year of teapotter fun. We “bridged” the years with Sabrina’s tickle challenge last week so we’re going to focus on the new year this week. Before we jump into today’s challenge, I’d like to introduce our new TEAm member…please welcome Jennifrann (Jen Lewis) to the hostess lineup. Jennifer is stepping into Jean’s (naturecoastcrafter) spot. Jean was a tremendous help and will be missed but knowing she’ll still be around on SCS keeps us happy. And, once a teapotter, always a teapotter! CHALLENGE: This week’s challenge is to incorporate four (4) things on your card by using the words HAPPY NEW YEAR to inspire your card design. For example: you might choose items that begin with letters found in Happy New Year (i.e. paper, Nuvo drops, red, adhesive, etc.), you could use something NEW on your card, or even create a “happy” card (happy birthday, Happy New Year, cheerful, etc.). Get it?
DESTINATION STATION: As many of us are still reeling from the holidays I’m making this week’s destination a TEAPOTTER’S CHOICE. Maybe you’ve got an “old acquaintance” you can drop a line to, or perhaps there’s a birthday or other “happy” occasion coming up that you need card for. You decide where to send your card to - just let us know in your description.
Be sure to use KEYWORD MMTPT545in your upload and post a comment here so we can all see your card!
Do you know someone that could use some well wishes, encouragement or all around warm fuzzies? Consider nominating them as a guest of honor (a.k.a. destination station) for an upcoming tea party. Post your request HERE or send a PM to jacqueline.
I had fun with this challenge...got to use a new MFT bg die that I got before my trip. I made a birthday card....I'm not exactly sure who it's for yet but I always like to have a couple extra just in case ;)
This challenge turned out to be a little harder than I thought it would be. I thought of 4 different cards to make but couldn't make the letters work. But I stuck with it and found a card I had pinned that I wanted to make. I love to color on stamps. My card: MMTPT545 New Year's Flowers by casep at Splitcoaststampers

My card comes with a new year's resolution to do better at remembering those who need a lift. My card making does get put on the back burner at times --DH, with his advancing Parkinson's, requires more time, and with my macular degeneration I sometimes find it hard to line up the edges of cards - but I will plod along. I am particularly grateful for pre-colored images!
