Anyone is welcome to play in the weekly Teapot Challenge - the more, the merrier! You automatically become a TEApotter the first time you play. Where will you find inspiration? Will it be from the teapot? The destination location? Something of the recipient? Or could it be from the challenge itself? Remember, your participation in Destination Station is 100% voluntary and not a requirement. Just have fun!
Todays challenge is a bit different. We are partnering with SCSs Cards For A Cause. The Cards For A Cause challenge collects cards for various organizations. Many of you remember our month long Hope You Can Cling To challenges in past years. This month's Cards For A Cause destination,Card Care Connection, has a similar purpose. Heres their mission:
Card Care Connection is devoted to enriching the lives of those affected by cancer. We work with hospitals, hospices, senior agencies, nursing homes, and individuals to identify potential recipients. This organization is designed to collect cards and care packages and send them to individuals who are faced with cancer. Our goal is that each delivery brings the recipient a brighter day. A recipient can be referred by a friend, family member, or agency representative. Self-referrals are also accepted.
TYPE OF CARDS: thinking of you, hello, care and concern, have a nice day...please include envelopes.
SPECIAL RESTRICTIONS: Do not stamp or write on the inside, cards are to be blank on the inside. sentiment on outside is fine. Please avoid get well soon and religious messages. You can read morehere before you mail your cards!

Do you know someone that could use some well wishes, encouragement or all around warm fuzzies? Consider nominating them as a guest of honor (a.k.a. destination station) for an upcoming tea party. Post your request HERE or send a PM to jacqueline.
I made two, and if I can fit a third in my envelope without bumping up to the next postage rate I'll find one in my stash. I liked this - I always enjoyed sending cards off for HYCCT.
Polly your challenge is much needed and will be sending my card out to the organization listed.

Just a thought..I see some of international members have posted cards,,,feel free to donate to a hospital, hospice, or other similar institution in your vicinity.
Please note that they would like you to include a packing slip with your name and address, etc. There is a form to print out on the Card Care Connection site...
Polly I did not know about the form until I started leaving comments. Is it okay that it is sent without the form??

I'm sorry I didn't notice that right away...I'm sure it's fine that you sent them w/o a packing slip. I'm sure they wouldn't refuse them. They probably want to acknowledge where they came from. Here's link to the packing slip for those who haven't sent them
What a lovely idea. Going to see if there is a more local thing like that here. But here is Greg peeking in to say hello.

The gallery is looking great this week! I'm so pleased that this particular destination and challenge has gone over well with all the Teapotters. As Diane (DCinkit) mentioned in her card write up so many of us have been affected by cancer and have lost loved ones. These cards will let others know that they are not forgotten and will brighten their day. Thanks to all sending cards and extras from your stash!
I'm playing my "Challenge Catch-up" cardmaking and SCS posting. This is a challenge make-up card, so it will be for my daughter-in-law for Mother's Day. It is definitely a cheerful card, saying hello and telling her to enjoy her day.
