CHALLENGE:
A really fun thing to do on cards it to recycle something and add it to our cards. I love when I find something that I just can't throw away because it is screaming to be added to a card. Today's challenge, recycle something and add it to your cards. I can't wait to see what you recycle.

DESTINATION STATION:
Our destination this week takes us to the mid-west. Wisconsin to be specific. We’re heading there to bring some well wishes and warm fuzzies to Carol (aka Bobbie’s Girl) aka sister of SCSr lacyquilter (Melody). Carol has been going through a difficult time and can sure use a pick-me-up. Carol’s favorite colors include green (moss, olive tones), browns, cream/beige and mauve. Favorite Styles include distressed, vintage, shabby chic, antique, recycled (no glitz). Bible verses would be welcome.

I just realized I didn't use Carol's favorite colors but I hope she enjoys blue as well. I was inspired by the teapot photo with the blue background. The recycled piece was used as a stencil. Carol and Melody are so sweet, I really wanted to make time to create a card for Carol.

We have out of town guests, so finding crafting and computer time is hard this week! I did get a card made and will send it off to Carol tomorrow. My recycled item is the brown deckled panel on the card front - it's from Tim Holtz stencil packaging. It was hard not to add any bling on this card, but since it's not a favourite of Carol's I didn't do it. Had to practically slap my own hand though, ha ha.

Here is my card. I recycled some watercolor. Carol helped me learn how to upload and put links in my descriptions, back when I first started on SCS. We had a lot of pms going back and fourth for awhile, till I learned how to do it. So, I consider her one of my mentors on SCS. Thank you Carol!

Hi everyone, I'm so sorry I have been missing from this challenge, you may have read elsewhere that we are about to embark on some major house renovations that requires us to completely empty the house of all our goods and chattels and move into our caravan for the next four months, this means from the middle of October I will have to pack all my craft supplies and equipment away not to be pulled out again until March of next year...not sure how I'm going to go with this but I have no choice.
In the mean time I'm frantically trying to get all my Christmas Cards done so no Teapot tickles from me unless we have a Christmas theme lol
From October till March the only activity you will see from me will be comments on gallery submissions.
On the 29th March we head over seas for seven weeks so in reality I wont be submitting cards until June of 2019. I should be more than ready to start creating again at that point.
I just wanted to let you all know I hadn't decided to drop out.

I got my card done last night. I used Carols fave colors, did recycling (cardboard and items from garage sales, and even the little scrap my sentiment is on - found it on the floor of my craft room), and included lace and vintage cologne advertisement. I did shabby, vintage, distressed, antique, and recycled! All easy for me since it is my true love and style as well. I see Carol is checking into the thread - a million hugz to you sweet friend!

I'm a week late but will be sending this card to Carol. I consider the flower part to be recycled from a background panel I did quite some time ago that I wouldn't use as a background. But I like it as a die cut flower.

I'm doing some Catch-up Challenge cardmaking and SCS catch-up posting! This card was made in August.

Since it is several years since this challenge was initiated, this will become to to my 2021 Christmas Stash rather than as a tea party encouragement card for the original challenge request. I used some recycled silver foil from a package backing as the sentiment back layer and the olive branch die-cut. It has some scratch indents on it, but it doesn't really show as it is tucked behind the sentiment.
