Anyone is welcome to play in the weekly Teapot Challenge - the more, the merrier! You automatically become a TEApotter the first time you play. Where will you find inspiration? Will it be from the teapot? The destination location? Something of the recipient? Or could it be from the challenge itself? Remember, your participation in Destination Station is 100% voluntary and not a requirement. Just have fun!
CHALLENGE: Find a leftover background piece, greeting, stamped image, loose embellishment, die cut border, etc. and use it on your cardI often spot some leftover as Im making a card and the lightbulb goes on over my head.hmm... that would fit perfectly on this card! So take a look under your craft desk and pick up that shiny object that caught your eye! Extra points if you include a heart somewhere on your card as our recipient has been described as someone who has a heart of gold.

This week were headed to the Big Apple. Susan is currently in NYC undergoing treatment and has been away from home (Virginia) for a couple of months. She sure could use a lift. Susan was nominated by her sweet friend Dyna (SCSer- DPJ) who says she loves to laugh and has a heart of gold. She loves bright colors and she's loves Virginia Tech where she is a university teacher. She loves life! Lets shower Susan with some love and help make her stay in NYC a little more comfortable.

Here is a leftover embellishment that I got in a tickle card and a bunch of left over DP scraps Polly. Super fun challenge and I was happy to find a home for these pieces on a card.
Was inspired to make 2 cards tonight! Ths first one uses an embossed background I made some time back and then set aside. Going with a heart of gold theme, I made gold sparkly balloons! Here is my card:
For my second card, I used a house mouse stamp & created a card with y bunny relaxing. I wanted to send a card with the message to relax in spite of the treatment Susan is going through. She is my prayers! Her's y second card:
I love using up leftover bits and pieces - like a gold foil stitched fishtail banner! Here is my card for Susan. This is my first time participating in the challenge, so I hope I did it correctly. I combined this with the SC711 sketch challenge, and again - hope that's ok.

Is there an apartment # for this address? 444 Central Park West is an apartment building (I hope she has a room with a view!)
I did check with Dyna, and that's the address as given on Susan's CaringBridgee page. I sent a card a few weeks back and it hasn't been returned to me....and they normally are, even internationally, when they can't be delivered.
What a wonderful challenge. I hadn't looked in my scrap basket in a while. The embossed background and the "Thanks" die cut came from there, as well as the cactus and the "You Bless My Life..." sentiment both of which are from an old card kit.

Thanks for following up! Didn't want the card floating around NYC.
Hey anyone know if Susan is still in NY. I was late for my card and then thought maybe I shouldn't send it as it takes like 2 weeks or more to get there and she may be gone and back home. And decided maybe I would just check here first to see if anyone knows anything. I tried looking up DPJ on the member list but couldn't find it to PM DYNA. HMMM>

It's funny that you couldn't find DPJ on the member list. Dyna left comments on most of the cards, so you should be able to find a comment from her and use the pm option from there. If you're viewing the site in desktop mode, you see several options underneath a comment, including the option to send a pm.
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR MAKING CARDS FOR SUSAN. SHE IS SUCH A DEAR FRIEND OF MINE. SHE IS A STRONG FIGHTER AND I KNOW THAT THESE CARDS WILL LIFT HER SPIRITS. SHE IS BACK AT HOME IN VA. HERE IS HER HOME ADDRESS. THANKS AGAIN FOR THE TEA PARTY!!!!!! IF YOUR CARDS IN ROUTE TO NYC, THEY WILL BE MAILED/FORWARD TO HER IN VA. NO WORRIES...BLESSINGS Y'ALL!!!!!!
My prayers and heart goes out to Susan. In her honor, I used lots of "gold" from gold embossing to gold foil paper matting and framing. My card is so very late, so I sent it to my sister at Christmas, who has been battling cancer for over a year, has had many treatments, surgery, and also has a heart of gold.
