Welcome to a New Year of Stashbusters! The purpose of this challenge is to use up items that have been in your stash for a long time. I will post a new layout every Monday to (hopefully) inspire you to dig out something old and get it on a page! If you dont have one of the required elements, please dont go out and buy it...the idea is to use up the old to make room for the new! Use a suitable replacement instead and have fun! Those who choose to participate and complete all the weekly challenges (the current month), will go into the Stash Buster Hall of Fame <O:razz: It was awesome to see all the layouts for the first week! Heres my page for week 2 and the requirements. Feel free to complete a one or two page layout.<O:razz:</O:razz:
<O:razz:</O:razz: Heres my layout: 4th of July <O:razz:</O:razz: The requirements for this weeks challenge are:<O:razz:</O:razz:
<O:razz:</O:razz: 1.Use at least two different types of metal accents. I used some star shaped eyelets. Even had to create a custom color eyelet (*see how to below), two conchos (with a star eyelet inside), and I used a few sequin stars. <O:razz:</O:razz: 2.Use a paper punch. I used a star to mount my eyelets on. <O:razz:</O:razz: 3.Use Patterned Paper as your main paper. <O:razz:</O:razz:
<O:razz:</O:razz: Please use this keyword in your completed layout to the gallery so we can see the pages you create: Copy and paste the keyword: stash15jan2 to make sure it gets to the right gallery. <O:razz:</O:razz:</O:razz: Heres the Gallery: January Stash Busters<O:razz:</O:razz:
<O:razz:</O:razz: If youre participating in the Scrapbooking Goals, dont forget to use the link: sbc15jan<O:razz:</O:razz:
<O:razz:</O:razz: *Holding the eyelet or brad with a pair of tweezers, heat the top with an embossing gun. Dip into regular embossing powder and remove. Use the heat gun to completely melt powder until smooth). Let it cool for a few minutes before touching it. If you do this with an eyelet, carefully mount it (I tapped it twice then reheated it to remove a couple of cracks). <O:razz:</O:razz:
