new and looking for ideas

I'm getting married on July 15, 2006. I'm looking for ideas for the wedding invitations. I have the stamps sets Truly Love, Gentler Times, Bold & Basic Greetings, Announcements, Simply Spring. The colours I have chosen for the invites are Lavendar Lace, Blissful Blue, and Very Vanilla. Any ideas?

Hmmm...trying to picture those sets without getting the old catalog out...

WhenI do wedding invites, I usually do this:

Set up the type on a computer in a font of my choice with all the details.
Print it on vellum (4 on a page) and then attach those with organdy ribbon to colored card stock that has been stamped. You can see the stamping through the vellum. You can also edge the vellum in metallic marker or embossing powder.

You need to look at the gallery though under those sets and see if anyone has used them for something that can be adapted and also type in the word wedding and see what comes up as a starting place! Enjoy!!!

Welcome...if you are looking for ideas, you came to the right place :) You are going to love this place, I know I do, I am hooked!!

I just got married and made my invitations also...I embossed in silver the Corinthians 13:7,8 verse on burgundy cardstock. I printed on vellum and tied a bow to attatch the 2 sheets. I got more compliments on my invitations and I even have an offer to do someones for their up coming wedding. I also helped design my best friends and she used printed paper as the back drop and used the SU Slit Punch to attatch her vellum to the back and they turned out really really cute. I am sure you will find something that you just love. You can keep it simple and still make it look elegant. Good Luck!!

Making the party favors is a great idea, as well. People love it that their little giveawy is personalized. Plus, it is fun to get your girlfriends together to help you make them. Good luck !!.
