Starting a new thread for our S2S challeges. The focus this past year has been on community and supporting each other rather than being mindful of how much we spend versus how much we create. This year, we will continue to support each other and use our creative energy towards living life to the fullest. So, rather than equating our stamping and spending in $$, lets do so with points for wholistic living. Each one of us will need to figure out what that means for you personally. Make a list of things that are important to you, and put a point value to them. Posting this now, but I will edit this post later with more details.

Reason: Adding challenges
Our first challenge for 2021! We have been talking about a dream island we want to go to until Covid-19 is over. I am changing that for our challenge. What is your dream? Is it to travel? Is it to spend time in a spa? Is it to sit by a fireplace reading a hood book. Is it to write the 'all American' novel? Is it to camp in nature? Is it to build a dream home overlooking the ocean? Is it to spend time wirh children, grandchildren, or other family? Whatever it is, let's put stamp and ink to paper and share our dream.

An island means some type of beach, I think. You can portray a beach with np people and the sentiment of peace or solitude..
I'm glad you have found this thread. I have not finished the first post yet. What do you think about life points instead of $$ ? At least for this year?

Happy New Year! Happy New Thread! I am late but would like two tickets to your island, Ina. Please. I like your new idea, too for what we keep track of, instead of spending.
I had seen a you tube on Junk Journaling on list journals, and she talked about all kinds of ideas for thinking about the year and looking back. One of the ideas was how We forget about what we accomplished. We should write it down, what we accomplished last year even as we look forward to next year. Look at what we didn’t achieve and why? Not important to us? Not focused? Or we did accomplish it, why? Not in our control? It was important, we were focused. Then it will be easier to think about what we want to accomplish this year. Also, incorporate your word. I have chosen practice. Practice self control, practice self denial, put into practice my faith further. Practice makes perfect. LOL
Lots of places I can go with this word.
Anyway, my thoughts as I begin a new year.
We have 6 inches of snow so far today. Very pretty.
Wow! Lots to take in on this New Year's Day after staying up until 2:30 a.m. crafting with friends from Wisconsin. My brain is not clicking on all cylinders yet!

I really like accumulating life points or self care points. Many times we think of others and forget ourselves.
Was just telling grumpy.. If you keep giving 110% that extra 10% must come from some where. Don't forget to recharge, relax, refresh so you can come at it fresh.
So my OLW class started today and the product is still in the warehouse! Uugghh what else is old besides me! Lol. Though I am not doing a word this year. I am doing a theme or a phrase if you will
Sharon I found an envelope from Lynn with some hugs in too.

One little word was an idea started 10 years ago by Ali Edwards. Instead of resolution you choose a word to guide you through the year. For me it is not about the class. It is not about the supplies. It is about the journey and what kind of intension you would like to follow. Originally my word was LIVE. I have been a hermit for a year and it looks like the first half of 2021 may be the same. But that doesn't mean I need to be a hermit. I can LIVE more fully and still follow the safety rules. Then I expanded my thought to OUTSIDE THE BOX. Even though I will be in these 4 walls I can enjoy more.
Sorry that was a ramble. If cat wasn't on my lap attached with her claws I would put links for you.
That's what I need when it is icy! Grumpy has the cleats or whatever they are called since he has to go out in all weather. I have a pick for the end of my cane plus some traction things I can put on my boots. If grumpy says it's bad out then I stay in.
Gracie..a question..FOCUS or AWARE? When I am time shifting I need to be aware of what is around me so I don't stumble and fall.
Probably both, I'm usually doing and thinking about several things at one time, so I need to focus on one thing at a time and be aware of my surroundings so I don't run into things

Yes I put grumpy cat isolated in the corner. I will leave the page for a day or so then come back to it
I have completely finished one travelers notebook insert. I am gonna spend this week seeing if there is anything else to add for the second insert. Then those are done.
For OLW I am using a journal, when ever that decides to show up! I ordered another pilot eraseable pen so I can journal or do hybrid. Whatever strikes my fancy. I did sign up for the class cause it is a good reminder for me to keep on track. Though some years my word changes due to life getting in the way. Just like covid completely changed our lives last year.
Oh oh I think I need to be on the island under the stars! Yup grumpy can make a fire for us.

Gracie steve says my mind jumps from one subject to another without even a full stop, he says that’s why he’s often confused as I change the subject mid sentence, I also have a conversation in my head and then decide to include steve, then get annoyed when he doesn’t have a clue what I’m talking about LOL
I’m pleased with all we achieved last year, when spring comes and we get new outside dining furniture our garden will be finished , for now.
We actually achieved more than we set out to do but that’s due to not being able to travel so I’m really hoping we can at some point this year even if it’s not until autumn.
We are waiting for the vaccine and then we will perhaps feel confident to do more, until then we are keeping to ourselves as much as possible.

Oh my gosh, Jan! This is exactly how it is with me and Tom! I'm having a good laugh...glad I'm not the only one that does that.
