Finally got some time to play with some recent purchases: Dies from Ellen Hutson and MFT and colored card stock 6x6 pads from MemoryBox. So much fun and great for building up the birthday card stash.
Hi Everyone! So sorry to be absent- I am still creating and mailing cards but have not had the time to post to SCS or my blog.
Here is a recent replacement birthday card that uses a very old background stamp, plus a retired Verve sentiment, Crop-A-Dile, Grommet/Eyelets, etc. (details on my blog re: replacement, etc.) F4A580_WT843 Happy 70th Birthday
We are still applying drywall compound, sanding, painting, ripping up carpets, etc. I am also having some recent eye issues, but I hope to start posting again soon and visiting all of your galleries :-)
So thankful for all of you who are faithfully posting- hugs!
I used leftover parts from the 2019 Made to Bloom card kit for my alternative design card, as well as the retired SU punch, Curvy Corner Trio. I think my Blackberry Bliss and Calypso Coral cardstocks are leftover from when these colors were In-Colors instead of part of the 4 categories of colors as they are now. I know that's been several years ago!
I'm using parts for one of the cards designed for the June 2020 Paper Pumpkin Box of Sunshine kit. For my card, I am modifying this card design provided just a bit to added more color through layers.
Here are a couple more cards that I have finally had a chance to upload:
F4A589 Freedom Isn't Free New stamp set, Picket Fence Distress Stain (not used in a while) TCC158_SC594 Cast Your Cares Several retired stamp sets that have not seen "love" in a while plus cream burlap ribbon, grosgrain ribbon, stencil and embossing paste (not used at before or in a long time) TCC156_SC569 Strong Anchor retired SU Nautical designer as well as not sure if I have ever inked the verse sentiment before
New/ now Old...unopened and gathering dust: SU Regal 6x6 dsp pack purchased in 2019...finally opened and used a sheet from the pack; Itty Bitty Epoxy Accents purchased in 2015 and finally opened/ used (colored Green with Copic markers).
My Old/ New items used: Regals 6x6 DSP--Shaded Spruce purchased in 2019...finally opened package and used one sheet; May 2021 Paper Pumpkin kit using kit die-cuts; Hats Off/ Hat Bldr. dies purchased in April 2021...finally breaking open and using some of stamps/ dies. My Old items used: Memento Blue Danube ink...I think I've only used it one other time in owning it for at least 8 years! It was the perfect blue for this card!
Happy 4th of July weekend!! This card uses brand new G45 paper and neglected cheesecloth. Hugs and I hope all of you have a fabulous weekend! F4A593_SC488 Catch of the Day
I used up a bunch of cat paper clips from my tote to make a stack of welcome cards for my monthly pet donation. I am way behind and this will certainly help me get caught up for that donation.
My OLD item(s): Tranquil cardstock purchased in 2017...a retired SU In-Color. My OLD/NEW item(s): May 2021 Paper Pumpkin/ Batter Up! card kit...just opened it the third week in June to do my Father's Day cards.
I'm playing my "Challenge Catch-up" cardmaking, getting a 2-year-old's birthday card finished at the same time., and finally getting it posted as well!
This is what I used on my card that fits the challenge: OLD items: SU--2014-15 All Abloom dsp stack; DCWV Glitter stack...can't even remember when purchased...at least 10 years ago (die-cut oval frame & golden yellow ballerina skirt) & SU--Tempting Turquoise (retired cardstock).
I used two OLD/ NEW items. Both of these items were purchased in 2019 and were finally unpackaged & used for this card: Wreath Building die and Ornate Frames dies.
I'm playing my "Challenge Catch-up" cardmaking and getting a belated birthday card finished at the same time. It was completed in May and I'm finally getting it uploaded.
I'm using OLD Swirly Bird & Thoughtful Banners stamps, Pop of Pink dsp, & Bow Builder & Duet Banner punches...all items from 2016 purchases.

My OLD/NEW item(s): None. I'm using OLD elements for my card: This is another card that I am using more bits and pieces from the June 2020 Paper Pumpkin kit--Box of Sunshine. I'm also using some really old Core'dinations cardstock that you used to be able to buy at JoAnn's, but not for several years, plus some Bazzill Swiss Dot that I bought at my sister's scrapbook shop back in 2009 when she was still open (used on inside punched corners)!
Bought the SSS/Tim Holtz Christmas Snarky Cats during last year's Stamptember event, but am only now getting around to playing with it. Not my normal "clean and simple" style, but I'm happy with the results. Hopefully my crazy cat lady friend, who will be getting it for Christmas, will enjoy it as well.
I am playing my "Challenge Catch-up" cardmaking and catching up on my SCS postings. This was a much needed birthday card for my oldest daughter finished in early July.
I'm breaking out two NEW/OLD stamp set purchased in 2019...Leave a Little Sparkle and New Wonder, plus some ancient Recollections dsp.
