Trying to hop back on the bus. It's been a busy, busy past two months for my family. March is a big birthday month for our family...three in all, so parties were galore! I also had 3 friends with birthdays. April was a repeat with two family birthday parties and five friend birthdays! My husband decided to thrown in some issues with his heart, which has not been officially been diagnosed as A-Fib, and the medications are not agreeing with him. My 96-1/2 yr. old mother decided to fall coming down a metal ladder and scrap the whole front of her shin raw almost to the bone in a large 5-inch x 4-inch area. She has finally made a recovery...slow but without infection...a BIG plus!
So, i'm catching up on the challenge descriptions. Question??: does the April Debbie Hendrickson fold have a name? or is it just called a "Special Fold?"

I am hoping you all had a fantastic day for Mothers Day! I am sorry I did not get signed in last night to wish you a wonderful day today!
I am on a bit of an earlier time schedule here, so not much time after we get back to get on the computer and catch up! GS, Rowan is go, go, go! He is adorable and busy and we come home to our rental tired at night! We were able to Zoom with the girls and the rest of the family here.
It is warm but windy here, and I am stuffy as usual, and trying not to let it get out of control! Tuesday is the day of Rowans party, and there are a couple of other 3 year olds and their parents invited. We were told no gifts, but did get a small something for him which we think he'll love.
My son and DIL use the Instapot we gave them for Christmas ALOT. They made a shrimp dinner in it tonight and it was delicious. We also had scallops on the side and that was awesome as well.
The gas here is $4.09- $4.29 The prices sure are going up on groceries too!
Off to bed- looking forward to another fun day with the little man!
Hello Everyone, Hope everyone had a nice weekend!
Sorry, I have not been around much...It's been busy (like everyone else I am sure) And I have not completed any cards lately. Hope to be able to make some tomorrow.
Last week was my birthday, and my hubby asked me what I wanted to do on my birthday. I told him two things. Go to breakfast at my favorite restuarant and maybe have a friend or two come to my house and make cards with me.
Well I did get to go to breakfast at my favorite breakfast place. But sadly, I could not get anyone to come and make cards with me on my birthday!
For many years, I had a weekly craft night at my house with up to 6 crafters sometimes sitting around my dining room talbe. Covid 19...came and my craft night is no more. The ladies who used to come to my house could not come on my birthday... However, two did come a few days later. I manged to get a card started while they were at my house but I still need to finish it. It sure made my day to see them and to craft with them again.

I am playing Challenge cardmaking, and hopefully, doing some catching up as well.
My card if full of pink and some glittery purple for the unicorn's tail and mane. The sun is a stickers from the April 2021 "So Cool" Paper Pumpkin kit.
Jill happy belated birthday, covid has changed so many things but it’s good to hear you did get some crafty time with your friends.
Ina when we went on a cruise we flew into Atlanta, never again, we didn’t realise that our bags would go straight onto the next plane after customs and immigration and went looking for them, ended up having to go through passport control etc again as we had gone out of the airport, a nightmare, mind you not as bad as Athens, it’s so small we were queuing outside and couldn’t even get to leave our bags, then couldn’t get to through to board the plane there were so many people, Steve just grabbed my hand and dragged me through, we nearly missed our flight, absolutely chaos
American gas has always been cheap compared to England , here it’s slightly cheaper but it go up daily, we have always used BP gas but have now found a small garage that is quite a bit cheaper so we fill up there, we know the young man at the BP station and he asked if we’d been away as he hasn’t seen us, we didn’t like to say why!
I'm off the bus for awhile. The weather her is fabulous right now ....sunny and will get up to 24°. So you will find me in my flowerbeds, edging and weeding. Lots of tulips blooming, as well as hyacinths, several different ground covers, lungwort, and forget me nots.
I did get a set of 6 cards made last week, following 'crafty Al's sheetload of cards for May tutorial.
See y'all when it rains!

Hi everyone! I wrote a long post the other day, but lost it! I didn’t feel like retyping it!
I still have to get this month’s challenge done, too. Glad you all are checking in. Missed you Jan, Heartsong47. Hi, Jill, TerriJ, CarrollAnn, Jan in Spain, and everyone else. The bus has slowed down. Maybe we are saving on gas. LOL.
Here is my card for this month's challenge. My neighbour's grandaughter turns 8 in a couple of weeks and she lives unicorns, so I was happy to ink my stamp up again. I did not get my money's worth out of that stamp set yet! Unicorn for Madeline by yellowrose46 at Splitcoaststampers

Hello, everyone! I am sorry I haven’t been chatting much! It seems I have gotten really busy. I just finished a Junk Journal for Julie, Dear Julie May Challenge. I have done four of my five scrap pages for May for SCS, so, now maybe I can concentrate on the card challenges like this one! Then I have to get kits ready for the card class I lead at the Seniors Living residence for June! Oh, and now I am leading a daytime Bible study at our church. I am stretching, stretching! LOL. I just got home from hair cut and shopping. I found some black flat shoes for good, like church, that fit, that were on sale and I used a coupon! Yay!
oh, and I was gone a week to, to see our grandson graduate college. Maybe I already posted that.
so, now to clean my junk journal mess up in my craft room so I can maybe make cards!
I hope I didn’t loose all the bus riders!
I got off the bus awhile ago too. It's spring gardening time. My flowerbeds are just gorgeous right now. Still lots of weeding to be done, but that does not stop the flowers from blooming. I'm anEnglish cottage garden type of person ........ lots of plants in wild array! Right from early spring when the crocuses come out, until late fall there are always lots of blooms. Mostly perennials, some volunteer annuals, and in this coming week, I will add some annuals at the front, for constant bloom.
My neighbour is not a gardener, but she does always plant annuals like petunias and marigolds, but this year she could not get herself motivated to even do a spring cleanup of the 2 beds in front of her house. It was still full of weeds and dead leaves. Today, they went to a funeral, which is a 2 hour drive from here. So I snuck over and spent 2.75 hours getting the two beds all cleaned up for them.

Ready for the JUNE challenge?
I thought some of us riders might have extra time over this long weekend and Monday holiday to do some crafting while the Indy 500 race is roaring. It's a classic event at my house, maybe your guys like it, too? So, I give permission to get a pole shot on the June challenge.
I'm also giving a challenge for "more than a card". But this will be so fun! This project takes 3 sheets of 8.5" x 11" solid color for the base, and then an assortment of patterned papers to decorate. I KNOW you have some patterned paper that is just crying out to be used on a project! Look at the cut list for sizes and you just might have some pretty scraps that will work, too.
The video gives step-by-step instructions, and it is very EASY to follow along.
Are you ready to start your engines?
Cut list:
3 sheets 8.5" x 11" solid heavy cardstock
3 pieces patterned paper cut to 8 1/4" x 5 3/4"
3 pieces patterned paper cut to 8 1/4" x 5 1/4"
3 pieces patterned paper cut to 8 1/4" x 2 3/4"
1 piece patterned paper cut to 8 1/4" x 2 1/4"
2 pieces patterned paper cut to 8 1/4" x 1 1/2"
1 piece patterned paper cut to 7" x 5"
1 piece patterned paper cut to 10" x 5"
Have fun-I can't wait to see what the Twisted Sisters create!
Sounds fun, Teri! I just watched it and can’t wait to try it! If I wasn’t so tired I would do it tonight! I have plenty of all papers, that is for sure! LOL. Thanks for posting the challenge early, Teri.
Am I the only one that hates using the double sided papers, I very often scan one side if I like both sides.
I’ve been off the bus for a couple of weeks, painting the villa!! Just have to paint the outside of my craft room tomorrow and a bit of painting in our bedroom and en suite bathroom and then we have to start on other outside projects before the family all arrive in July.
today we are relaxing and going out tonight for a meal to celebrate our 51st wedding anniversary, it is also our eldest sons 7th Anniversary.
How fun that you share an anniversary date with your son--and congratulations on your 51st. Those would be fun occasions for this folio challenge. A nice holder for 7 or 8 photographs to remember it by.
Fifty-one years married seems amazing to me. My 50th high school reunion is this year and I shudder to think what my life would have been like if I had stayed with my high school boy friend all these years. What bad judgement in men I had back then!!!
Teri we met when I was fourteen and my DH was sixteen, two of my school friends married two of my husbands friends from the local youth club as we did and they are still together, quite amazing although we only hear from them by Christmas cards nowadays, they all still live where we grew up, we have lived thirty of the years away from England.
Congratulations, Jan! 51 years! Ours will be 56 years in September. Haven't the years flown? So fun to have the family there in July. You will have painted the whole villa by then! I hope you will be able to sit back and enjoy them all! Interesting that you and hubby have known each so long. We met after hubby got out of the army. I was 19 and he was 21 when we met. We then got married a month before my 21st birthday. Yep , do the math. I will be 77 in October. LOL
Sharon Steve joined the Army when I was sixteen and as soon as we got married, I was 18 he was 20 we went to live in Germany for ten years where both our boys were born.
Our son is fifty when they are all over in July so that will be a big celebration.
I finished my folio. It was so easy and WOW I am very delighted with the result. I used two different paper collections SU and G45. They worked really well together. Tropical Folio by TeriJ at Splitcoaststampers
That same size. It would make something like this to but in a pocket in the journal. I sew the junk journals I have made folios to include in the journal, and love this one!
I will also be adding lots more items to the one .I made. I don’t know yet what I will do with it, but it might be a gift. And not too late to make it a photo journal. Thanks for the video, .Teri!
