Thanks for the reminder Lynn. There are so many things we can celebrate in May. Here in the northern hemisphere, it is spring and trees are budding, flowers bloiming and the weather is improving. In the southern hemisphere, you can celebrate cooler days, cozy times by the fireplace. But we all can agree, that a glass of wine would be welcome anytime. May 25 is National Wine day. Let's feature wine, or your favourite beverage to imbibe in.

Home from camping. My To Do list is huge! Sorry to hear about jaw issues! My allergies are bugging me and I use nose spray and have had many sinus surgeries over the years. I'm with you Sharon...old age health challenges...just an every day occurrence. But, hey...it's spring here! Yay! Glad Winnie is in the shop and hope she's fixed quickly Jayne!

Since I hate wine, how about national whine day? LOL
That is me! Murphy day! Locking my door to go to dentist. Sneezing fit. Peed myself. Taking clothes off quickly is not like they show in soap operas! Leaving. Garage door only opens half way..try again.. took 5 tries to get it all the way open! Who fixes a garage door opener on a building and leaves exposed wires!

This event is almost perfectly timed for most of the Americas; observers in the Eastern and Central time zones will be able to catch the entire eclipse, from start to finish, and many skywatchers farther west will still be able to catch the total phase of the eclipse
May 30-31: A brand-new meteor shower?
At the end of May, there's a chance we could be treated a brand-new meteor shower with the potential to be the best such display of 2022. It's a one-time-only event and the circumstances for producing meteor activity are rather unique
Since I hate wine, how about national whine day? LOL
Kathy, I am not much for wine myself, have maybe 2 glasses (one per day) when we are at the cottage in the summer. If you choose to feature another cold drink that goes in a glass, that is fine, or if you wish, you could use a 'whine' sentiment.

I tried different red wines because doctor thought it might bring my cholesterol down, but I couldn't stand the taste. People suggested sweet wines but everything is too bitter for my taste.
Oh oh I should have taken a picture. Major street downtown friend pulls to the curb to let me out. The curb and floor of car same height, I put out my purse.. I put out my cane.. trying to hoist myself out.. a lady on the sidewalk comes over to help me.. it must have been a site! Lol oh Chinese mom is about 5 foot 3 and 100 pounds no way I expected her to ever help me up.

Feeling a bit better today. They gave me a very low dose estrogen patch yesterday. For the first time in years I did not wake up in a puddle of sweat! The psoriasis on my groin, which is why undies can bother me, is under control. The cream I am using is helping to rebuild the skin and thicken it. The steroid creams will thin the skin to something like rice paper, it's a vicious cycle.
Next week grumpy and his 2 moms are having dim sum! Yeah, really looking forward to it!

Woo-hoo! I am just so strange! So I am sending grumpy camping for mom's day! Yup it won't be too busy plus we don't have black flies yet. Me, I am gonna do spa stuff. You know, hair treatment, hand treatment. Oh for my hands I use inexpensive vitamin e cream all over my hands then put on disposable gloves. I will do a full pedicure which I haven't been doing. Maybe other stuff too!
Happy Mother's day and that includes pet moms!

Lynn, I currently have such an itchy head and think it's the chemicals from the colour my hairdresser uses. It is getting worse. Today I used a special shampoo for sensitive scalps and it's helped. I used to have psoriasis on my head years ago and had to get special cream from the dermatologist. My sister and brother both have it bad and get it on their legs, arms and sometimes in their ears...yikes.
I also have a very sore mouth. It's been like this on and off for months and I am sure it's from my teeth. I'm constantly getting ulcers and need to see my Dentist. Unfortunately they lost their hygienist as she refused to be vaccinated so appointments have been pushed back and also because of covid. I just hope I don't need urgent treatment for the next few months. I usually see the hygienist every 6 months but it's over that timeframe now. Always something.
I have been packing Winnie all day. Tomorrow we will only see son3 for dinner as the other 2 boys are working. Saw DIL1 and the poppets today. I was very emotional saying bye.
I will embrace whatever life has in store for me from Monday.
Enjoy your day tomorrow ladies.

Oh hair coloring hurts unless I use an oil based coloring product. Also a sulphate free shampoo for the first week.
Mouth ulcers. I cannot use listerine at all. Even alcohol free mouth wash can be too hard. The PH in my mouth is off. I have to use chlorhexidine I think that is the right spelling. Anyways you can pm me when you get back and I can explain.
Have adventures for me!
Hugs

I hate people! I went outside by myself for a change. Cat has been throwing up about 9nce a week now. She is almost 15. I went to a pet store that I trust and got a few different things for cat to try. Then I was stupid and went to the LL Bean store! Crazy parking and only small sizes. OK across the street is a Shoppers Drug Mart, big chain store, I asked for spf110 and was sent to the back of the store. The snotty girl said they only sell expensive stuff!! OK does any of it have a high SPF.. well no but it is all high quality! I didn't smash her snooty nose. Trying to get out of parking is as hard as getting in. Went to grocery store, a car backing up almost took the hood of my car off! I was yelling stop. Yup only about 2 inches from my car! But I was still a good girl! The twins were looking for a honey pot for their mom to keep honey in.. maybe tea? Don't know but I found a place they hadn't tried. I need sleep!

They are idiots! The last car accident I was stopped behind other cars, the car slammed into my trunk and used me as it's brakes. The guy was mad that he would be late getting his girlfriend to the airport! Boy did I yell as my son was with me in the car!
So plans have changed and grumpy and I are gonna have a picnic in the park! Woo-hoo!
Lynn we had rain and high winds but nothing like Valencia, I presume you saw the photos, up to their waists in some places, people don’t realise that the drainage system here is terrible, the streets get flooded easily and nothing is ever done about it.
in-the port area some shops have metal boards to put across their doors because the streets flood, we once had to wade across a road, ankle deep to get back to the car.
the fire brigade have to pump underground garages out, our road runs like a river but luckily it has a slight slope so it runs away from us.
Some towns just north of were flooded too, we luckily missed to worst part of it, this time.
just been to the opticians, very nice young man, very thorough, so now I have to wear glasses for driving! They have some snazzy driving glasses with a clip on magnetic sunglasses, new reading glasses too, steve luckily doesn’t need them yet for driving, just reading, his colour blindness hasn’t got any worse but then again he is the lowest grade, steve says the next level before black and white, haha
the optician said my eyes have deteriorated because of my age but my pupils and eye muscles are fine, so some good news
So glad that didn't happen to you! Yes the fire brigade were out there trying to get people out of their cars. There are places in Toronto that get like that and people just drive into it. Then they wonder how they got caught! Toronto is bumpy not flat so yup there are places that can get flooded. The Don River below me has a very sharp man-made curve which is where it floods.
Glad you got snazzy driving glasses! Needing glasses is OK when the eye itself is in good shape.
OK now that I am getting deep sleep I can get things done. I did the vacuuming till I want to throw up then take a break. Yup I still have morning sickness. Cat will be mad that I rolled up the carpets in the hall. She does not like the grout between the tiles. Yes she is weird!
Thanks Lynn, hugs to you too, pleased you are sleeping.
steve cleaned the lounge window , we had to move the sofa and rugs, a bird managed to poop on the window in two places even though the outside blind was half way down , I tried from outside but couldn’t quite reach, I got the poop off but left big smears as I’m not tall enough to reach from outside, now he keeps pointing out the clean window!
Woo-hoo I am set for summer thanks to grumpy. I just remembered that the ac for the living room died last year. So he got me one for the window thatJUST fit! So it is in and works! This week is finally 20c and above so everyone is thinking ac. The store close to grumpy work already sold out of the one I wanted. I love my grumpy!
here is a pic of my snazzy window coverings!

it’s wining heavy at present. We are in Geraldton. A storm is apparently coming later. We have stayed home today catching up on my blog and mails, etc. It’s good to relax.
Kathy, I didn’t get Wordle or Quordle today..doh
Hi Ina, Gracie and anyone else I’ve missed.
Waving.

I made a walmart run for mom so I haven't tried quordle yet. I did get Wordle in 4 tries this morning.
Yesterday turned out to be a great day. Grumpy was able to find propane. My place was already 27c so I went to his early. His Chinese mom came at 3pm. We did Greek BBQ on his balcony and all got caught up! I only remember to take pictures when I get home! Yup not much sleep last night at all.
Road trip! Grumpy drove me to Ajax for a CT appointment. Didn’t take long so he wanted to explore. He was looking for donuts and found a little bakery. A bunch of cookies, a blueberry lemon loaf, date squares, butter tarts, and lemon shortbread all went into the bag! Lol grumpy was munching on 6 different cookies as he was driving us home! What a guy! Lol He left me some samples and took the rest home. I fell asleep and when I woke up I was wondering where the food went! Lol
Big huge hugs

Wow Lynn grumpy has a sweet tooth, our eldest used to when he was a boy, we would go out for Sunday lunch and they had a sweet trolley, three shelves full of all sorts of puddings, our son would be eating his dinner with one eye on the trolley, he said to check out which one had the biggest portion
Just been for achier y with some friends,I collected my new glasses the way, I tried using them to read the menu, it was like looking through his powered binoculars, I felt dizzy, he did say it would take a few days to adjust!
My yougest grandson was born with a sweet tooth. When I was watching last Friday, he kept opening the fridge and I would offer him juice, but he grabbed my arm to point toward the maple syrup. I allowed him one teaspoon, but he kept wanting more. Today he just beamed when I gave him a Lindt chocolate. We had a great morning at the arboretum. Many trees are in full bloom. I will get some photos posted on the 'Picture this' thread.

Our GS I think is the same age as your GS Ina used to try to get into the fridge for gherkins, he loves them and olives more than chocolate, although he does love ice cream
Popping on to say hi and waving. We are heading up the coast. Currently in Carnarvon. Im so behind on my travel page.
