Here if you book online and go to the clinic you get the Pfizer shot. If you book at a pharmacy you get the AstraZeneca shot. I have no idea what you get at the pop up clinics cause I haven't seen one. I would like to find some where for my son to get the shot. Posties are not considered front line workers and he turns 32 in a few days even though we are in a hot spot.

Lynn, they make you stay 15 minutes to make sure there are no adverse effects. Sounds like you've got it all covered, as usual. You are very good at that.

I was hoping to see some of the meteors the other night but it was too cold to stay out. I have been star gazing but will do more later in the week because it's to hit 80 by Wednesday!

Crazy spring weather..hot then cold..rain then snow. You have to have clothing for any season at this time of the year. Oh I did manage to get out to get some stamps, so the cards I made are in the mail. Maybe if it is nice tomorrow grumpy and I can have burgers in the park!
Stay sane!

It’s been odd weather here too, no snow!!! But rain, sun, loads, high winds.
lynn that vaccine centre is huge, they used the sports hall here, steve was supposed to sit for fifteen minutes but after two hours he was so tired he wanted to get home, I told him off but you know men, always know best, luckily he’s had no problems, you can’t even see where the needle went in.

Yup there are multiple ones. The person organizing it is ex-military. The biggest problem is actually getting enough doses with many delays in delivery

Interesting day in Lynn-land. I went and grabbed salad and burgers from Wendy's then grumpy and I ate on his balcony. Very different view from mine, will post the pic later. It was colder this morning than when I went to bed. My balcony was only 7 c with a wind so we sat on his. I gave grumpy his birthday card early, store bought but snoopy bursts out from inside with a hug so very appropriate! I cut a bunch of the words hugs and put them inside. He said he was glad it wasn't glitter! Lol
That's it. This is what passes for excitement when there is a stay at home order.
Big huge hugs

The next full Moon will be late Monday night, April 26, 2021, appearing opposite the Sun in Earth-based longitude at 11:32 p.m. EDT. This will be the next day from the Atlantic Daylight Savings timezone eastward across Africa, Europe, Asia, and Australia to the International Date Line. Most commercial calendars are based on Greenwich Mean Time (GMT) or Coordinated Universal Time (UTC) and will show this full Moon occurring on Tuesday, April 27, 2021. The Moon will appear full for about three days around this time, from Sunday night through Wednesday morning

I saw the full moon this morning at 5 a.m., but decided I needed an extra 1 1/2 hours of sleep. And tonight it will probably be too cloudy or raining. Sleep is more important now than ever, when I have not had the vaccine yet, and family are going in and out of a hospital every day. There are 47 Covid inpatients there.
An update on Neil. The tests have pretty well ruled out all the worst case scenarios. They will do a spinal tap tomorrow at noon, and pending results, Neil will remain in hospital for 5 days of treatments.

I was hoping that the hospital would help you all get the vaccine while you are there. Unfortunately it isn't that easy.
Big huge hugs

Ina I was gonna say you look so young! Then I put on my glasses. So glad he can still be a kid with everything that is going on in the family.
I am ready for my jab! I made a thank you note for the people at the center. It shows on one side and my medical stuff is on the other side inside a zip lock bag.

All done! I got to my vaccine appointment early so I stayed in my car listening to the radio. 10 minutes before my appointment I headed to the door. There are two people there. You check in with your healthcare. Then they send you inside. A bunch of questions then they hand you a clipboard. OK I cannot stand holding my cane, my coat, my cane and my info packet while doing a questionnaire without my glasses on. Eventually I got the questions done and they take the clipboard and send you in line. You go to a person who scans your card and reviews your answers to the questions. I had lost my card by this time! Lol! Yup back at the clipboard! Then you move into another line where you wait for a nurse station. Nurse scans your card and goes over the questions. Then gives you the shot that I barely felt, I think they are using diabetic needles. Off you go to the recovery area where you sit for at least 15 minutes. There were people walking around this area. The guy up ahead...I don't know. One of the observer went to talk to him. Then a paramedic went over and they took him somewhere else. My time was up so I checked out. Came home and stripped bare at the door. Sprayed Lysol on everything and took a shower!
So VERY well organized! I tried to thank everyone.. Not scary at all so Ina have your healthcare out the whole time as you go through the steps.

Lynn, when you write 'healthcare' I assume you meant health card?
My grandson Neil came home from hospital yesterday. His lumbar puncture did not give the doctors any answers, but they are sending samples to labs in London, Ontario, and Atlanta. It will be 2 weeks or so before we get any results and in the meantime he can be at home. He seems happy, is eating and playing, walking, etc. Just not talking. He also seems a little disconnected. We are all happy to ressume our lives. These 6 days I have soent with Leuf have been precious and we have forged a strong bond. When I left last evening, he initiated a hug. I have not had a hug from him since he was a baby (due to his autism). My heart is overflowing with love and thankfulness.

I really wet my panties today!
I always wash my lingerie by hand and hang them on the line to dry. Well today I had 2 weeks worth of panties on the line, and it rained hard. I guess they got an extra rinse today.

Thank you for my morning giggle!
Yes my health card. They scan it at every step.
So chills started after about 2 hours so I went and curled up with my heating pad. The fatigue got worse as the day wore on but of course I couldn't sleep. I know I had the shot but my arm is only sore if I lift it higher than my chest. So nothing worse than what I would have had from a flu shot.
Ina so glad the family is all back home. Now it is just the waiting.. Which I hate! So lovely that you got a hug. That is an amazing bond.
OK my mind has gone blank. I am just napping off and on.
Stay warm. Stay dry. Stay sane

Ina I’m pleased to hear Neil is home and hope they find the cause, WoW sending samples to different countries too, who knew they ever did that but isn’t it great that countries work together on these things!
how lovely that you got to spend time with Leif, I can imagine your feelings with that hug Ina, so precious.
Made me smile at your panties story,
Lynn hope you are feeling better now, which vaccine did you have? Steve said the needle was very thin and didn’t feel it.
a bit different to here where everyone was in line too close together,, even inside the hall, I said to steve if anyone actually had the virus everyone in town will get it! It scared me and everyone we’ve spoken too has said the same thing. Luckily we’ve had no new cases in Our town for three days!
we had a FaceTime call with our youngest GS yesterday, fifth birthday, he was super excited and we watch him opening his presents, our other son sent him money and they bought a giant box of duplo and apparently went he’d emptied the box out he climbed in and told his dad he wanted to be sent to Spain to see Nan and Grandad,

Sorry mine was the Pfizer shot.
Still tired but that may be from the spring weather. I just woke up and to me it feels like snow but I haven't checked the forecast yet.

Jan, I hope your son listened to his boy and that he is on his way to visit you!😉 That is so sweet.
Lynn, I also got Pfizer. Barely felt it and no after effects. Lynn, I got you gorgeous 'hugs' card. I plan to CASE it, if you don't mind. Thank you so much. I hope Grumpy is o.k. after his root canal.

Ina, that is such good news that Neil is home again and normal except for not talking. I also didn’t know that countries shared research like that. But maybe is so rare? Glad you had bonding time with Leif. I will continue to keep Neil in my prayers.
Glad to hear after vaccine symptoms were mild for you Lynn and Ina.
sorry I missed Grumpy’s birthday. Happy belated Birthday To Grumpy.

Lynn I will join you. Our Premier just announced that there's 3 more cases....just as we were only told that we would have to wear masks for another week. He's debating whether we go back into another lockdown and will update us tomorrow. It seems a security guard at a hotel quarantine site caught the virus even though he had been vaccinated. He's not got it bad but passed it on to 2 of his flatmates. He apparently lives with 7 people so the other 5 are being tested and results awaited. Masks compulsory for goodness knows how long for now.
Right I'm heading to our island. Mojo still not back. Happy days everyone

I honestly thought the Irish blessing postcard would go through the postal system faster. So postcard or regular card both seem slow. OK. I will probably forget cause I just woke up and my head isn't on straight! Lol

S2S21MAY 'May flowers'
It's a new month again, time for another challenge. When last month's challenge was 'April showers', you could have figured this month it would bring 'May flowers'. Here's our chance to feature spring flowers. Think tulips, daffodils, pansies, violets, poppies, peonies, etc. To get you inspired, here is a photo I took this morning in my flower bed.

Oh yes, I forgot to include spring blooming weeds and wildflowers. I have a number of dandelions blooming in my lawn. I tried to upload a photo, but scs told me my picture is missing a security token, whatever that is.
