I love love what you ladies are creating and glad that you like the prompts. That is thanks to Kandie who originally suggested this. I simply purchased some, prompts and mixed them around and added a technique. Lol. Glad it works. Thanks for promoting our page Jean.
I encourage you all to look at Creative Jumpstart 2022 and hop on the classes. It’s not free but not overly expensive and the classes are fantastic. I’m learning so much and hope to share more work with you.
Happy messy day.

Happy Sunday everyone. I have done 2 more Creative Jumpstart classes and about to start Wanderlust..oh my..MM life is busy lol. I checked with Creative Jumpstart and I can share my work but won’t be able to tell you what we had to do. You probably will work it out lol. I’m having such fun.
Wanderlust are still taking bookings. It’s not cheap but worth it as it’s a year long course and lifetime access. It works out very cheap per lesson, plus Creative jumpstart is very good value. Hope some more of you join in.
Here is another panel I did using up my gel prints.

Jayne I've finally finished mine today, I’ve started it three times then went back to a half finished one!
just need the Internet so can upload , hopefully tomorrow
Jan awesome creation. Love it. I’m eager to know the name of the stamp you used *wink*. My sort of thing. It is good to have a change from cards. Don’t worry about the sticker. You only had to use 2 or more items. You nailed it.
Melody, thanks for the video.
I’m hoping to create today. I watched 2 more classes but we were so busy yesterday and have things to do today but hopefully later I will get to my room. Have fun everyone

Jayne the stamp is paperartsy, I have a few of their sets but don’t use them very often, I cut the round flower head off the stalk and the white trellis is a die cut, sissix I think,
I have some glassine paper I bought years ago, TH, it’s brown and I’ve used it once, I put some in a birthday card I was sending and I wondered what the greasy marks were on the envelope, it had soaked off the glassine paper., looked yucky! Something else I bought and never used!

Jan, I also have a few Paper Artsy stamps and I bet I have that stamp LOL. I know I have a quirky flower set as I've used the flower once on one of my cards. Now I have to go and check. Thanks for the update. I love stitched stamps and always buy them when I see them...well I used to...this year I'm not *wink* unless I receive a gift voucher. I have a trellis die too...I think mine is Kaisercraft. You did it so well as it all looks like one piece and not different ones. Love it. Thanks.

I checked my stamps...not one with a stitched leaf but I did find some cool ones and one that looked like Coronavirus LOL. I have a voucher to spend so will now hunt for that stamp set as I didn't know what to buy with it. I have to confess DH did take me to a craft shop yesterday as I have run out of gesso. I finally found one last jar...supplies are so hard to get here at present, including food supplies. I also bought some more journalling pens, glue and twine for my journals. He encouraged me...not that I needed much of that, plus they were consumables I had run out of. My excuse.
Jan, are you still doing Care December? I am way behind but will continue with it after I've done Creative Jumpstart, Wanderlust, TH lessons and all the other classes I've bought over the years. I will do them. My OLW is Commit...again.
Happy day everyone and hope you get messy.

Here's my stab at an art journal/junk journal entry. I have been hovering around and playing a bit with collage and mixed media. Mostly doing cards and some highlights in my scrapbooks. I have not done a journal of any kind. Decided that I need to jump in this year and see what develops. I liked that Gracie had a goal on her entry for one a month in her journal. I can do that.
What kind a journals do you like to use? Should I get a gelli plate, too? Do you use it much or is it the next thing that just sits and stares at you from under the piles of why did I buy this and what is it used for? Kind of like my gesso...I still don't get its purpose. Ha! Guess I have some learning to do!

There are alot of MM artists that do You Tubes- Gesso prepares your page and gives it 'tooth' to grab products. So, for example, if you have a thinner journal or page in a book you are creating with, you gesso it first so your medium does not leak thru- think watercoloring on paper that is torn out of a book. If you add Gesso, it will not 'soak' in to the paper.
A gelli plate- love it. When you take it out to create, you will make multiple pages, so you can pull them out for cards or art journals, then when you create with it the next time around, you can try a different technique, different colors. I would highly recommend buying one!
Here’s a card that I made that fits the MMJ challenge too, I used a blue panel, stickers, circles (holes) and staples. Two of the panels were stencilled.

Amy I definitely recommend a gelli plate. I have a drawer and box full of prints I’ve taken over the past 3 years and usually pull one out as a starting point for my project. I used 3 different panels on the card I made above. One was made using just baby wipes with paint swiped across it and gives great texture. If you look at last year’s MMJ challenges you will see videos we recommend on gelli plates and printing.
Gesso…love the stuff. I have white (thick and thin), clear and black. I don’t use the black often. Clear comes in handy and between layers. As Shelly says there’s lots of videos on the stuff. Get some gel medium too and also texture paste and you will be set. You can add colour to gesso and texture paste. I sometimes push gesso through stencils. Clear acts as a distress.
Journals I love Dylusions ones but I started with just a cheap book from my local stationery store and if the pages were too thin I glued a couple together. I now have 3 on the go. One for techniques and practice, the other two for two different classes I’m taking.
The main thing is to just have fun. On last year’s videos we all recommended different artists on YouTube. I have my favourites and would highly recommend watching some of them and seeing what type of techniques and art appeals to you. Some are on collage, others gel prints and texture paste, some on fabrics and of course, there’s junk journals. You can make your own journal using brown paper bags, wrapping paper, envelopes and any kind of junk that comes your way. Kandie and Sharon are experts on junk journals,
Love your page and thanks for playing.
Have fun.

Great advice Jayne and Shelly! I need to go back and look at the videos from last year's MM. Right now, I'm practicing my watercolor skills. Oh....so much I want to do!!!

Thank you Shelly and Jayne! I have a nice GC from Christmas itching to spend and want to make sure I get what I really want instead of wandering around with no plan. I've picked up a Dylusions journal several times and always set it down. Most of my creative stuff is in cards, scrapbooks, gifts, or display things. Things intended for others to see. But a journal is an idea more for me and I guess that's why I have resisted getting started. My mean older brothers took my diary to school and showed it off to some classmates when I was in grade school, so ever since then I have resisted putting things down on paper that weren't meant for others. That was over 40 years ago...good grief! Funny how you hang on to thoughts long after they no longer serve you. Get over it already! HAHA! To the videos I go....;-)
