I started my samples for my challenge last night. Will finish them today and post ASAP.  It was nice and easy and messy lol.

The MMJ challenge is posted...have fun.  

Here are my samples and then a tag I made using some of my own washi tape.  It tears the same as bought tape.  I like the fact I can make my own designs if I don’t have the right colour or image on tapes I’ve purchased.

The first photos show my tapes drying and finally my strips.  I have a few lol.

I also added a strip on  the flower as the stem. The colours came out so vibrant on the masking tape.

Here is mine for homemade washi. I watched all the videos, although not all the way through, chose to do the tissue on scor tape, how do you get the back tape off of tissue??? Maybe I should have watched to the end??

Here's my washi tape challenge...I went with the first video using masking tape...I have mixed feelings on this...was a lot more work for how the result looks...oh well...was fun getting messy.

Thanks ladies. Polly, yes it was a lot of work for a small result and halfway through I was thinking why am I doing this but I did get messy lol.  It’s just nice to learn something new and if we ever run out of washi tape we can make our own lol....as if that would happen in this house lol.

I did two different groups of faux washi using the masking tape.  HERE is my card and BAJ using Christmas patterns/colors.

I don't have a lot of washi tape so this was a great idea for me.  I did a Tik Tok video if any of you are on Tik Tok (let me know if you are and I will send you the link).

I have three 6-row racks of Washi tape!  I got carried away (read: bored) and did some crazy shopping on Amazon one day.  In saying this, I find I love the idea of making my own designs in the colors I want.  Thanks again, Jayne!

I created a mixed media piece for the Alpha Challenge F "Fantasy," using stencils, watercolors, embossing powder, sequins. It doesn't fit any of the challenges here, but I thought I'd share it anyway since I've been working on it all week just for fun!

I made cards before I became a stamper.  One type of card was to attach fabric shapes to a card base.  That was it.  My card for the washi tape challenge started out as one of those (attached).

Good morning, fellow (lady) MMJers, how is everyone today?  I’m tired of working on journals, and I’ve been collecting videos for my challenges after the first of the year.  I’ve been collecting supplies so I can send everyone a little package for when my challenge is up, so no one needs to go out and buy things.  It’s a very small challenge, lol, and my packages will still mail in a regular card weight.  That’s all I’ll say!!!  . All of you may already have these little things, but it won’t hurt to receive a few more!

Hi Jan!  I love the scanncut, however, I have a lot to learn, lol.  Big joke on me.  I set the machine to cut on the black or gray outlines, and yes it cut out on the black or gray outlines - all of them!!!  Any line, even lines within lines, like a tag with a black outline, and then a design in black on the inside of the tag, was cut out, very delicately and intricately.  It really was funny.  . Now I need to watch more videos on how to make the machine not do that, lol.

I finished two Christmas cards this afternoon, I had fun, not too exciting but I made it in the end.

The red one is supposed to be poinsettias along it, I used an embossing folder and inked them but when I peeled them off it stretched it a little, the other was turquoise but the colour of the tape changed the colour to green, the snowflakes don’t show up very well, I tried silver, white and then I used a darker colour over the top!

I’m slowly finding some mojo. I did online craft shopping today...well the kids have bought me some stamps for Xmas but they don’t know it yet lol.  I can’t resist a bargain. DH and I also bought our Xmas pressie to one another...a Mac air...we will share it...I will use it for craft whilst he hogs the iMac and he will use it when we visit his family as it will hold all of his family history stuff.  I’m sure we won’t use it that much...we have i this and that all over the house lol.

Jayne the family bought me a Mac air for my sixtieth then two years ago  I lent it to our DIL in England and the battery wouldn’t charge, steve paid €75 for a new one but I keep forgetting to use it now, I must get it out and use it !!
