Happy New Year, Kandie I watched the video and then saw one to make a folder to keep greeting g cards in, I went to my craft room for the first time since Christmas and made the front and back but them my idea went out of my brain, I will have to rethink my plan but at least I have one.
Happy 15th of January, and time for another challenge! It’s my turn today, and I’m posting several videos on altered paper clips. These are fun to make, use up all those little scraps, and can be used in so many ways. Enjoy!
Thanks Kandie. You are a star. They all look so cool. Hugs

Hello everyone, I have been on a break after a busier than normal holiday season... so much to make and drop off / mail as we miss everyone soooo much. anyway, burned out a bit and then switched 'lanes' to learn and start making scrapbooks and journals from scratch. SO much to learn and many many youtubes watched, i am just getting my feet wet. it brought too many ideas and then sorting those out has been a challenge. hahah I love this fun idea of decorating paper clips and will incorporate that idea, as well, now! THANKS for just another way to expand my horizons. Best to all of you and take good care. Teresa
Teresa
I switched to mostly making junk journals and elements for them. It's a great way to use up my scraps. That is the great thing about papercrafting. There are so many different areas you can explore.
thanks for encouragement, Melissa! after 30 yrs of mainly Cards and gift bags/boxes... I am spreading myself into something new. it will be awhile before i feel like posting any of that, but it will be worth it. i have made plastic page divider type books in binders, but just entering the make from scratch stage and a little overwhelmed. so many types/techniques, etc. i will find my comfort zone. and YES, a great way to start using up supplies of projects that never happened. Happy New Year to you and yours. Teresa
Hi Teresa, I am mainly a card maker too but have been encouraged by my SCS friends to try scrapbooking and MM, not something I’m good at but I’m enjoying messing and have watched too many YouTube videos and have too many things going on.
hope to see your projects when you feel like showing them
Happy almost Ground Hog Day here in the US. Today's challenge is all about recycling...everything and the kitchen sink. Yes, there have been recycling challenges lately....like my MMTPT last Tuesday and Lydia's MM on Friday. It's the way I think sometimes....'oh I could use that on a creation, save it, Jean!!!!'
A few guidelines: I'd like to see at least 50% of your creation recycled materials. Don't just think substrates, like cereal boxes....think about other materials you have lying around. Please do not use regular cardstock or dp or any kind of embellishments that you purchased for card making or journaling. Make your own! You can use regular mixed media materials like paints, glitter, pastes etc. but think about how you could change them, using a household substance. You can also use household tools to create texture. Think outside the cereal box!!!!!
I hope I can link multiple videos here but if I have trouble, I'll put other videos in the next posts.
Another video. This one doesn't focus on actual recycling but I thought it was interesting to see what she did with textures. Don't be put off by her accent at the beginning. She's speaking in a very echo-y space but that doesn't continue. There is a also a part two if you care to find that one also.
Ladies, I’m sorry I tried to amend the challenge list with details of the post where each challenge could be found but since the site has been upgraded the text is all gobbledygook. I will retype it eventually. Happy day and creating.

Here is my Kitchen Sink Challenge piece . I used a couple of textured wallpaper samplers. It reminded me of woven tapa so stayed with a beach theme. I wanted to use some Jasmine rice - got out my roll of Press N Seal. Took a small square, and and on the sticky side up, made an outline of a simple butterfly with white string. I spread jasmine rice in the wings and squeezed Crystal Effets glue all over it and place a lighter piece of textured wallpaper over it while the glue was still wet. When it had dried I turned it over and peeled off the Press N Seal. Tore the paper around the shape and with tiny scissors fringed the paper edges. I used texture crackle paste and a stencil from Echo Park called Stitched Quilting and an interesting sheet of perforated brown paper that came as packaging. The moment I saw it I snagged it for MM projects. (Stopping for a sip of coffee) To complete the beachy feel - I got out my jar of shells collected along Kahala Beach while looking for diamonds. ..... after arranging them in clusters of three....I fashioned a string bow. Not a masterpiece but maybe some points for earnest participation..... LOL Have no idea how to post a picture here so will upload to my gallery for a limited time and put a link here

The Challenge I have chosen is Journaling with Scrapbook Papers.
These four videos are by Amber K. And there are many more by her if you search.
No need to run out and buy new papers. I am sure you have scrap papers galore that you can put to use making pretty collages.
I look forward to seeing your happy creations on any themes you choose to make from scrapbook papers.
Thanks SuZ. I’ll watch more tomorrow as we are out this evening. I loved the first one and I have heaps of scrapbook papers. I need to do something different. I did make a journal page with scrapbook paper a couple of weeks ago...in my gallery and the one with the washi tape. The paper was covered up lol. Thanks again.

Pinch, punch. It’s 1st of the month and it’s my MMJ challenge. I nearly forgot but luckily I already had some videos ready and have found a couple more.
The topic is wax and I was originally going to focus on Finnabair waxes as I bought some a few months ago and only started to use them last month. Those of you who saw my February theme cards will see I used them on plastic and also metal. Tip: after rubbing the waxes on, leave to dry and then buff the items later with a soft cloth.
I decided that not everyone had these waxes, so I’m keeping the challenge to use wax in any form....wax paper, wax with oil paints, wax crayons, wax in pots, making wax pockets for journals.......whatever you have on hand and whatever you want to try making.
Here’s some videos to give you some ideas. I haven’t made samples but did use wax again on one of my March theme card. I love the abstract art but I’ve never come across cold wax so that’s something for me to look out for. The important thing is to just have fun.
I hope I’ve given you all some inspiration using wax products. If all else fails, get out the crayons, put some shavings onto wax paper and iron the paper together. It’s like magic. I’m sure there are also lots of tutorials on this site. Enjoy and happy Monday.

Good morning! Jayne, your challenge brought another wax idea. I’ve seen videos on melting different colors of wax crayons at the top of paper and letting them drip down and make their own design. I love your challenges!

Good morning, everyone. I finished the Easter journal, yay! All I have left to do is put on a closure, and I’m debating whether I should even do that. The book looks fine without it.
Jayne, I was trying to find anything with wax in my craft room, and do you think I found anything? Nooooooooooo. Grrrrrr. So aggravating. But today is a new day, so I’ll look again, lol.

Kandie, do you have wax paper? That will work for pockets.
